Rigal — a programming language for compiler writing

A new programming language for compiler writing is described. The main data structures are atoms, lists and trees. The control structures are based on advanced pattern matching. All phases of compilation, including parsing, optimization and code generation, can be programmed in this language in short and readable form. Sample compiler written in RIGAL is presented.

La Légende dorée de Jacques de Voragine, compilation hagiographique fondée sur l’assemblage de sources hétérogènes, fonctionne également comme un instrument de domestication du temps pour le compilateur, le prédicateur et le lecteur du légendier. Elle tresse ainsi une pluralité d’écritures de l’histoire au sein d’une organisation calendaire, à haut rendement symbolique. Ce lien avec l’appréhension du temps est étudié à travers certains manuscrits où elle se trouve copiée à côté de textes historiographiques.
An Information Aggregation and Analytics System for ATLAS Frontier

International audience; ATLAS event processing requires access to centralized database systems where information about calibrations, detector status and data-taking conditions are stored. This processing is done on more than 150 computing sites on a world-wide computing grid which are able to access the database using the Squid-Frontier system. Some processing workflows have been found which overload the Frontier system due to the Conditions data model currently in use, specifically because some of the Conditions data requests have been found to have a low caching efficiency. International audience; At ECOOP 2010 in Maribor, Slovenia, the two workshops MASPEGHI (MechAnisms for SPEcialization, Generalization and inHerItance) and ICOOOLPS (Implementation, Compilation, Optimization of Object-Oriented Languages, Programs and Systems) were combined because both were rather small and shared common concerns, their topic areas being strongly related. Six papers had been accepted to MASPEGHI, but only five were presented because the authors of one paper could not attend the conference and workshop. Spēja noteikt strukturālos elementus, kuri ir nepieciešami vārdnīca ssastādīšanai, ir būtiska leksikogrāfa prasme. Maģistra darba mērķis ir izanalizēt nestandarta vārdnīcas autoru un atbalstītāju strukturālās izvēles, kuras ir izmantotas individuālo projektu vārdnīcu saradīšanai. Mērķa sasniegšanai izmantotās metodes ir literatūras apraksts, lai formulētu teorētisko bāzi, un manuāla datu vākšana un aprakstoša analīze. Analīzes rezultāti atļāva identificēt defektus izvēlētajos struktūras elementos un apsvērt defektu ietekmi uz vispārējo vārdnīcas kvalitāti. α-decay spectroscopy of the N = 130 isotones 218Ra and 220Th: Mitigation of α-particle energy summing with implanted nuclei

An analysis technique has been developed in order to mitigate energy summing due to sequential short-lived α decays from nuclei implanted into a silicon detector. Using this technique, α-decay spectroscopy of the N=130 isotones 218Ra (Z=88) and 220Th (Z=90) has been performed. The energies of the α particles emitted in the 218Ra→214Rn and 220Th→216Ra ground-state-to-ground-state decays have been measured to be 8381(4) keV and 8818(13) keV, respectively. The half-lives of the ground states of 218Ra and 220Th have been measured to be 25.99(10) μs and 10.4(4) μs, respectively. The half-lives of the ground states of the α-decay daughters, 214Rn and 216Ra, have been measured to be 259(3) ns and …
