Thermal kinetics for the energy valorisation of polylactide/sisal biocomposites

[EN] The thermal stability and decomposition kinetics of PLA/sisal biocomposites was discussed to evaluate the suitability of their use in energy recovery processes such as pyrolysis and combustion. The influence of the addition of sisal up to 30%wt, the presence of coupling agent, and the atmosphere of operation, i.e. inert or oxidative was discussed by means of multi-rate linear non-isothermal thermogravimetric experiments. Palladium-catalysed direct cross-coupling of secondary alkyllithium reagents

Palladium-catalysed cross-coupling of secondary C(sp(3)) organometallic reagents has been a long-standing challenge in organic synthesis, due to the problems associated with undesired isomerisation or the formation of reduction products. Based on our recently developed catalytic C-C bond formation with organolithium reagents, herein we present a Pd-catalysed cross-coupling of secondary alkyllithium reagents with aryl and alkenyl bromides. The reaction proceeds at room temperature and on short timescales with high selectivity and yields. This methodology is also applicable to hindered aryl bromides, which are a major challenge in the field of metal catalysed cross-coupling reactions.

Composting residues from wine and dairy chains would contribute to increase the environmental sustainability of the production. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of deproteinized whey combined with bioactivators on the composting process. Bacillus velezensis and Kocuria rhizophila, bacteria with cellulolytic activity, were isolated from raw materials and inoculated in the organic mass to be composted. Piles moistened with deproteinized whey showed the highest reduction of total and dissolved organic carbon due to the stimulation of bacterial activity by nitrogen compounds held within deproteinized whey. Desde hace unos años está surgiendo una nueva clase de contaminantes químicos utilizados por el hombre con distintas finalidades y denominados contaminantes emergentes, entre los cuales se incluyen los productos farmacéuticos. Todos estos compuestos se encuentran en las aguas residuales, y como las estaciones de depuración de aguas residuales no están acondicionadas para eliminarlos, acaban liberándose en el medio ambiente. Este artículo ofrece un análisis de la construcción simbólica de la reina María Josefa Amalia de Sajonia, tercera esposa de Fernando VII, a través de sus exequias fúnebres celebradas en España en 1829. Enantioselective Synthesis of Functionalized Diazaspirocycles from 4‐Benzylideneisoxazol‐5(4H)‐one Derivatives and Isocyanoacetate Esters

Enantioenriched spirocyclic compounds bearing three contiguous stereocenters and high functionalization were obtained through a formal [3+2] cycloaddition reaction catalyzed by a cooperative system. The spiro compounds were synthesized from 4-arylideneisoxazol-5-ones and isocyanoacetate esters using a bifunctional squaramide/Brønsted base organocatalyst derived from a Cinchona alkaloid and silver oxide as Lewis acid. This method afforded two out of the four possible diastereomers with good yields and high enantiomeric excess for both diastereomers.

A proposito della collocazione dell'accento su certi composti di tipo bahuvrihi in vedico e in greco antico

Una discussione sui composti non prescinde mai dalla sistemazione di essi proposta dalla grammatica indiana. Secondo la terminologia da questa introdotta i composti oggi detti possessivi erano chiamati bahuvrihi (es. hiranyaparna "dalle ali d'oro"). Il lavoro è dedicato a una specifica questione relativa alla collocazione dell'accento in certi composti del tipo bahuvrihi. Coincidenze nella collocazione dell'accento sui composti greci e indiani antichi erano già state notate da altri. Gli autori hanno provato a verificare se il fenomeno dell'accentazione del suffisso, riscontrabile nei bahuvrihi del Rig Veda, sia presente e in che termini nel greco antico.
