Evidence of tetraphenylporphyrin monoacids by ion-transfer voltammetry at polarized liquid|liquid interfaces
2008
We present a simple methodology to illustrate the existence of tetraphenylporphyrin monoacid based on ion-transfer voltammetry at a polarized water|1,2-dichloroethane interface and organic pK values are also estimated.
Application of a Novel Refinement Method for Accurate Determination of Chemical Diffusion Coefficients in Electroactive Materials by Potential Step T…
2005
We describe application of a novel refinement method for an accurate determination of the chemical diffusion coefficient, D, and the generalized kinetic parameter, A, from experimental potentiostatic intermittent titration technique (PITT) data suited for a variety of electrochemically doped electroactive polymers and inorganic intercalation host materials. The proposed, simple, two-step refinement procedure, based on earlier derived analytical expressions for the PITT response, is exemplified by the analysis of chronoamperometric responses to small-amplitude potential perturbation for p- and n-doped poly(fluorenone-bithiophene) (PFDOBT-HH) thin film electrode. The initial p-doping and the …
Investigation into the reaction of (t-BuC5H4)2Nb(η2-Te2)H with CH3Li: Hydride abstraction versus telluride methylation
2007
Abstract The reaction of [ Cp 2 ′ Nb ( Te 2 ) H ] ( 1 ) (Cp′ = t -BuC 5 H 4 ) with CH 3 Li in THF was examined by variable temperature 1 H NMR, ESR and mass spectroscopic means. From these methods it is evident that the diamagnetic compounds [ Cp 2 ′ NbH 2 ( TeCH 3 ) ] ( 2 ) and [ Cp 2 ′ Nb ( Te ) CH 3 ] ( 3 ) as well as the paramagnetic compound [ Cp 2 ′ Nb ( TeCH 3 ) 2 ] ( 4 ) form simultaneously. In the subsequent reaction of the intermediate solution with [Co 2 (CO) 8 ] compound 4 was consumed and the compound [ Cp 2 ′ Nb ( μ - TeCH 3 ) 2 Co(CO) 2 ] ( 5 ) formed in good yield. Complex 5 was characterized by IR and variable temperature 1 H NMR spectroscopies. Electrochemical two-electro…
Ideas and lives across the Atlantic. The American Anarchism in the Galician libertarian press
2019
In this article we will analyse, from a transnational history point of view, the presence of American anarchism in the Galician libertarian press until 1936. In the 19th and 20h centuries, the transatlantic migrations contributed to develop a dense network of contacts and relationships between Galicia and American countries. This network involves anarchist militants on both sides of the Ocean. The Galician anarchists have a close collaboration with her Americans libertarian comrades; and many Galician militants are actively committed in the labour movement of their host countries. The Galician libertarian press shows this relationship and this participation in different ways (articles, cont…
BN/GdxTi(1-x)O(4-x)/2 nanofibers for enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen production under visible light
2019
Abstract BN/GdxTi(1-x)O(4-x)/2 nanofibers were elaborated via electrospinning technique. The properties of the prepared nanofibers were controlled using different ratios of gadolinium. All the prepared nanofibers exhibit the tetragonal structure of anatase TiO2 phase. An increase in the unit cell volume and a decrease in the crystallite size were observed with increasing the doping amount of Gd3+ as revealed by Rietveld refinement analysis. The defect in TiO2 lattice was observed by Raman. The Gd3+ incorporation inside TiO2 lattice, which is accompanied by the creation of Ti-O-Gd bond, was characterized by the X-ray photoelectron spectra. Scanning electron microscopy demonstrates that the a…
Photoluminescence: A very sensitive tool to detect the presence of anatase in rutile phase electrospun TiO 2 nanofibers
2015
Abstract This paper reports on the synthesis and the characterization of titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanofibers prepared by electrospinning. The samples were annealed at various temperatures in air for 4 h. The as-spun and annealed TiO2/PVP composite nanofibers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy and photoluminescence (PL). The results show that the heat treatment has an effect on the crystallization process. Even if the XRD data shows a complete anatase-to-rutile transition in the TiO2 nanofibers at 900 °C, photoluminescence reveals a small portion of anatase in rutile sample.…
Ancestral Reconstruction and Investigations of Genomic Recombination on some Pentapetalae Chloroplasts
2019
Abstract In this article, we propose a semi-automated method to rebuild genome ancestors of chloroplasts by taking into account gene duplication. Two methods have been used in order to achieve this work: a naked eye investigation using homemade scripts, whose results are considered as a basis of knowledge, and a dynamic programming based approach similar to Needleman-Wunsch. The latter fundamentally uses the Gestalt pattern matching method of sequence matcher to evaluate the occurrences probability of each gene in the last common ancestor of two given genomes. The two approaches have been applied on chloroplastic genomes from Apiales, Asterales, and Fabids orders, the latter belonging to Pe…

Foreword: New territories in word-formation
2014
Word-formation is a domain of linguistics which has steadily evolved in the last decades under the influence of the wide availability of electronic corpora and of a renewed interest in contrastive approaches to morphological analysis. From the 1990s onwards, morphological studies have increasingly relied on corpus data. An initial point of interest was the domain of productivity measurement (see Baayen & Lieber 1991, Baayen & Renouf 1996), but resorting to corpora soon became a widespread practice, notably to document rare phenomena, which cannot be thoroughly discussed in the absence of a wealth of data (see Plénat et al. 2002).
