Aerosol Lidar Intercomparison in the Framework of SPALINET—The Spanish Lidar Network: Methodology and Results

Abstract—A group of eight Spanish lidars was formed in order to extend the European Aerosol Research Lidar Network–Advanced Sustainable Observation System (EARLINET-ASOS)project. This study presents intercomparisons at the hardware and software levels. Results of the system intercomparisons are based on range-square-corrected signals in cases where the lidars viewed the same atmospheres. Comparisons were also made for aeros backscatter coefficients at 1064 nm (2 systems) and 532 nm (all systems), and for extinction coefficients at 532 nm (2 systems). Routing quantum information in spin chains

Two different models for performing efficiently routing of a quantum state are presented. Both cases involve an XX spin chain working as data bus and additional spins that play the role of sender and receivers, one of which is selected to be the target of the quantum state transmission protocol via a coherent quantum coupling mechanism making use of local/global magnetic fields. Quantum routing is achieved, in the first of the models considered, by weakly coupling the sender and the receiver to the data bus. In the second model, strong magnetic fields acting on additional spins located between the sender/receiver and the data bus allow us to perform high fidelity routing.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie stanu państwa opiekuńczego i przestrzeni publicznej w epoce płynnej nowoczesności, omawianej w dziełach Zygmunta Baumana. Tekst rozpoczyna analiza zwrotu neoliberalnego w kontekście upłynniania się nowoczesnego świata. Neoliberalne myślenie zdominowało bowiem społeczne, polityczne, ekonomiczne i kulturowe aspekty życia. Na tym tle przedstawiono zjawisko społeczeństwa sieciowego, związanego z technologiami informacyjnymi i komunikacyjnymi, takimi jak Internet i telefon komórkowy, a także omówiono globalny kryzys nierówności, niweczący wysiłki podejmowane na rzecz demokracji.
