This empirical study is part of research into teachers’ conceptions of teaching but in a new context and with a new audience. It is based on a qualitative survey conducted by semi-directive interviews with 17 lecturers (in the job for three years at most and across a range of subject areas) about the notions of ‘good’ and ‘poor’ lessons. The analysis reveals (1) difficulties in defining what makes for a ‘good’ lesson and even more so a ‘poor’ lesson; (2) the narrow range of terms used and the fact that the terms characterize a ‘good’ lesson as both a process and an outcome; (3) the absence of conceptions in terms of academic subject areas, and (4) great difficulty in categorizing the concep…

In questo articolo rispondo alle critiche e ai commenti alla mia ricostruzione della concezione del potere di Michel Foucault proposti da Bruno Celano, José Juan Moreso, Marco Segatti, Alessandro Spena. Mi concentro in particolare sui seguenti aspetti: la connessione fra la nozione foucaultiana di potere e il conflitto; la distinzione fra potere disciplinare, potere governamentale, e potere normativo; la concezione foucaultiana della libertà come autorialità; ciò che Foucault può suggerire riguardo ad alcune “macchie cieche” della teoria del diritto contemporanea.
¿Qué explica la Física sobre la influencia de la Luna en la Tierra? Una propuesta de enseñanza

En este trabajo se abordan ideas pseudocientíficas en torno a la influencia de la Luna en nuestro planeta. Para ello se analiza si los libros de Física de Bachillerato y de Educación Superior tratan la influencia de la gravedad de la Luna en la Tierra y cómo lo hacen. Para el análisis se utiliza una muestra de 17 libros de textos de Física de Bachillerato y 17 utilizados en cursos de ciencia e ingeniería (13 de Física, 2 de Óptica y 2 de Astronomía) de distintos años de publicación. Kuvaamme artikkelissamme yhteisössä toteutettavaa palveluoppimispedagogiikkaa (community engaged service learning pedagogy) Toronton yliopiston suomen kielen ohjelman ja Toronton Suomi-kodin eli suomenkielisen seniorikeskuksen välillä. Osana suomi vieraana kielenä -kurssia opiskelijat vierailevat säännöllisesti Suomi-kodissa, osallistuvat sen toimintaan ja viettävät aikaa suomenkielisten senioreiden parissa. Tutkimme sitä, mitä siirtolaissenioripari (Sirkka ja Pentti) ja kaksi nuorta suomen kielen opiskelijaa (Rosa ja Ilja) ajattelevat ja puhuvat kielestä ja sen oppimisesta erilaisissa kohtaamisissa.
