Three randomized controlled trials showed the protective role of circumcision in heterosexual HIV transmission. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Joint United Nations Program on AIDS (UNAIDS) recommend that voluntary male medical circumcision (VMMC) programs should be rolled-out wherever there is a generalized HIV epidemic and few men are circumcised. INTRODUCTION: The Nesbit procedure is the most common surgical technique to correct congenital or acquired penile curvature. It is a common opinion that this surgical procedure has to be completed with a circumcision to prevent foreskin necrosis or phimosis. According to our experience we believe that some procedural "tricks" could strongly reduce that mechanical and ischemic trauma on the foreskin responsible for these complications. À partir d’exemples caractéristiques issus d’un corpus de 2 115 structures passives tirées de la revue britannique The Lancet, j’ai réalisé une classification originale de ces diathèses passives en trois grandes catégories, à savoir la détermination passive simple, la détermination passive complexe et la détermination passive tronquée. Après avoir précisé en quoi ces opérations de détermination correspondaient à une stratégie énonciative particulière — qu’elle soit réfléchie ou spontanée — mise en œuvre par les médecins, j’ai analysé quelques formes extrêmes, ou déterminations particulières, notamment celles présentées sous la forme d’adjectifs composés.
