The discovery and preservation of the Great Inscription of Gortyna in Crete by Italian researchers in the late nineteenth century. and the first decades of the twentieth century. was an important cultural and scientific recognition for the young Italian nation. In the past the island of Crete had been tied to the Republic of Venice and this report also favored sending in Crete the young epigraphist F. Halbherr who among considerable vicissitudes came to together to the epigraphist german E. Fabricius the inclusion of the famous ancient city of Gortyna. The inscription among the oldest and most comprehensive so far known throughout Europe the rules contained on the family's legacy in general and the rights and duties of some of the people of the Minoan civilization (480-450 BC). The inscription was carved on blocks organic limestone a restored ancient building which later in Roman times was turned into odeon. The Laws of Gortyn were engraved on the remains of the wall forming the passageway in front of the steps of the odeon. The essay traces the events that led to the discovery and subsequent storage made by Halbherr especially with the help of archaeologist L. Pernier and finally with the help of architect E. Stefani who designed a modern cover on the top of the ambulatory of the segments containing the inscription. The volume Tommaso Maria Napoli Utriusque Architecturae Brief Compendium 1688 Rome treaty on civil and military factories and preservation of the architecture of the Dominican friar Tommaso Maria Napoli wants to help increase our understanding of the principles that should underpin the realization of civil and military baroque and late baroque period as expressed in the short treatise written by the monk architect born in Palermo Tommaso Maria Napoli (1659-1725) and published in Rome at the end of the seventeenth century. This translation from the Latin of the treaty drawn up by experts (Fabio Zarbo e Pietro Zarbo) included is an interesting research drafted jointly with Giuseppe Tantillo status of some of the architecture without realizing or attributed to the architect Tommaso Maria Napoli. In fact some cards are attached to the volume on the substance and state of preservation of the cathedral of the Assumption of Mary in Dubrovnik (Croatia) of the villas Valguarnera and Palagonia in Bagheria (near Palermo Italy) of the monument to the Immaculate and one of the towers of the church of San Domenico in Palermo (Italy). The essay introduces the result of thermographic surveys on some Sicilian monuments. Effect of Standard Disk Plough on Soil Translocation in Sloping Sicilian Vineyards

Tillage is the main force of soil redistribution in agricultural land use and has been seen as more critical than water erosion. This study aims to evaluate the effect of tillage with standard disk in vineyards. A representative study area with grapevines was selected, and 39 inter-rows were selected to test the effect of slope and forward speed. In each inter-row, a strip of soil was collected, and mixed with 2 kg of coloured sand used as a tracer, then replaced in the strip, and shallow soil tillage was performed by means of a standard disk plough. Representation of Cruise: Cruisers and Noncruisers Cross Views

The article demonstrates the interest in using social representations as a tool of analysis in the representation of cruise for cruisers and noncruisers. The main objective of this study is to identify and to compare social representations of cruise for these groups. The article is based on a review of the social representation theory literature. Using multiapproach methods focused on organizing principles, the results indicate some resemblance and many differences between both representations.
