Pierres et carrières : réflexions autour de différentes stratégies d’approvisionnement sur les chantiers bourguignons médiévaux

2021

In this paper, we want to discuss the complexity of the mechanisms of medieval building stone supplying based on a diachronically and multidisciplinary inquiry on several Cistercian and ducal study cases. The first results enlighten the constraint caused by land property that limits the builders to a supplying network shaped by domain and law. Thanks to the growing vitality of trade and the arrival of independent stone providers, criteria of selection gradually focus on stone itself. Both global and individual strategies evolve then, reinventing the networks of stone providing and the markets.

The co-construction of the identical positionings of teachers and pupils in physical education

2015

This doctoral work is interested in the identical positionings of the teachers and the pupils led by the relation that the social scene in Physical Education establishes between them. These positionings are approached by means of the theories bound to the social categorization and more precisely the theory of the social identity, the theory of the auto-categorization and the conception of the social partitions. If the social partitions establish a continuation of the first two theories, they also rest on their own theoretical foundation, based on social psychology of the language. The goal of the first work was to propose a review of certain principles of the social categorization. This pro…

Jane Austen ou la caricature littéraire domestique

2009

Far from the political or literary caricature in vogue in eighteenth-century England, Jane Austen created what could be called domestic caricature. Its targets are all those who feel that they possess superior wisdom or know-how, but also all the empty-headed and long-winded bores who it was a well-brought-up woman's duty to listen to patiently. This article will try to uncover what is specific in Jane Austen's caricature. Basing her work on ordinary social interaction and conversation, she exposes the shape(lessness) of speech and (mis) construction of discourses that characterise this would-be superiority. The article will also try to see how far Austen's work on caricature can be called …

Déconstruction et redéfinition du ‘clandestin’ dans Il ladro di merendine et L’altro capo del filo d’Andrea Camilleri

2022

Andrea Camilleri used to say he regretted that his novels were seen by his readers as more entertaining than thought-provoking. For his work carries a militant message and far-left ideas. In his narratives, the author deconstructs traditional schemes and definitions and proposes to read reality through other prisms. Thus, in his two novels Il ladro di merendine and L’altro capo del filo, Camilleri deconstructs and redefines the concept of ‘clandestinity’, both through inventio and through symbolic objects. The boundary shifts: it no longer separates the licit from the illicit but the intimate from the visible.
