TISSBERT: A benchmark for the validation and comparison of NDVI time series reconstruction methods

[EN] This paper introduces the Time Series Simulation for Benchmarking of Reconstruction Techniques (TISSBERT) dataset, intended to provide a benchmark for the validation and comparison of time series reconstruction methods. Such methods are routinely used to estimate vegetation characteristics from optical remotely sensed data, where the presence of clouds decreases the usefulness of the data. As for their validation, these methods have been compared with previously published ones, although with different approaches, which sometimes lead to contradictory results. On 15 January 1968 a catastrophic earthquake struck the Belice Valley. In some cases in the reconstruction plans it was decided to abandon the old settlements and to build new ones in different places. Among these centers Gibellina was the most damaged and the town was built away from the old settlement in an area within Salemi, where the highway and the railroad converged, in an attempt to take away the new center from the isolation in which it had lived for centuries. Background Due to the low potential for primary biological healing of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), the most popular approach is currently reconstruction using a graft. Recent research indicates that the technique of strengthening a damaged ligament with synthetic tapes (internal bracing) may be an alternative to reconstructive treatment, especially in cases of partial ACL damage. It is common practice to assume full blending of the aged binder of reclaimed asphalt (RA) within the design of new asphalt mixtures. Although being practical, this assumption has often led designers to asphalt mixtures lacking binder. Hence, going towards recycled asphalt mixtures (RAM) there is a need to have a better understanding of the blending phenomena, to have a general agreement on terminology and finally adapting RA classification and mix design procedures accordingly. Increasing the flexural capacity of RC beams using steel angles and pre-tensioned stainless steel ribbons

This article presents an experimental programme on reinforced concrete beams retrofitted with steel angles and pre-stressed stainless steel ribbons to increase their flexural strength and ductility. Two different configurations of the steel ribbon were designed, and two companion specimens for each type considered were subjected to a four-point bending test to facilitate a direct comparison in the analysis of the effectiveness of the retrofitting technique.
