In networked control systems several devices (controller, process and others) share a common communication bus. This feature can suppose delays when those devices try to transmit information through the unique bus, leading to a non- regular behaviour, that is, different variables are sampled and updated in a non-uniform way along the time. As a result, if the control system is designed by means of classical design techniques, control performance can be degraded, since these techniques used not to consider those delays. The paper deals with methods of identification of the parameters of an induction motor model using genetic algorithms. It is supposed that the inverter supplying the motor is directly accessible for control of the conduction sequences of its power switches. This makes it possible to carry out a test consisting of a transient from standstill to steady-state operation at a given frequency and successive free motion to standstill. This study deals with linear parameter-varying modelling and output-feedback H ∞ control design for an offshore wind turbine. The controller is designed with consideration that not all the information in the feedback loop will be used. This constraint is incorporated into the design procedure. Constrained information means that a special zero-non-zero pattern is forced upon the gain matrix. In this paper,we evaluate the application of a sensitivity analysis to help fine-tuning a fuzzy controller for a biological nitrogen and phosphorus removal (BNPR) plant. TheMorris Screeningmethod is proposed and evaluated as a prior step to obtain the parameter significance ranking. First, an iterative procedure has been performed in order to find out the proper repetition number of the elementary effects (r) of the method.
