Multifokālo kontaktlēcu lietotāju redzes asums un stereoredze

Bakalaura darbs uzrakstīts uz 37 lapaspusēm, satur 10 zīmējumus, 5 tabulas un 18 literatūras avotus. Darba mērķis ir novērtēt redzes asumu un stereoredzi tuvumā un tālumā pacientiem koriģētiem ar brillēm un multifokālajām kontaktlēcām. Mūsu pētījumi parādīja, ka tāluma binokulārais redzes asums visiem pacientiem ir labs – virs 0,95. Tuvuma redzes asums pacientiem koriģētiem ar brillēm ir labāks un pacienti dod priekšroku brillēm. Tuvuma stereoredze noteikta ar Titmusa mušas testu un Titmusa apļu testu pacientiem koriģētiem ar brillēm un kontaktlēcām bija laba. The objective of the present study was to examine the dimensionality, reliability, and construct validity of the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) in three Spanish samples using structural equation modeling (SEM). Pooling the FFMQ data from 3 Spanish samples (n = 1191), we estimated the fit of two competing models (correlated five-factor vs. bifactor) via confirmatory factor analysis. The factorial invariance of the best fitting model across meditative practice was also addressed. Ethnic residential segregation in Italy is an emerging key question, which will be crucial in the definition and implementation of both urbanistic and social policies. This paper focuses on this phenomenon in the Italian city of Palermo. We use individual data for all the population residing in the city at 31 December 2011, organized by ethnicity and district. Firstly, we describe the spatial distribution and the residential segregation of foreigners in the city, applying many different segregation measures. Samokontrola rozumiana jako zdolność do odraczania gratyfikacji i umiejętności koncentracji na celu w efekcie decyduje o wytrwałości w działaniu i osiąganiu celów życiowych. Autorka uzasadnia, iż kształtowanie umiejętności samokontroli jest zbieżne z celami wychowania resocjalizującego i dlatego nie można pomijać w oddziaływaniach resocjalizacyjnych wzmacniania samokontroli u wychowanków. Ponadto autorka wykorzystuje badania nad mechanizmami samokontroli do opracowania wskazówek metodycznych do pracy resocjalizacyjnej.
Cognitive behavioural therapy interventions for insomnia among shift workers: RCT in an occupational health setting

Abstract Introduction The aim of the study was to compare the effectiveness of cognitive behavioural therapy interventions for insomnia (CBT-I) to that of a sleep hygiene intervention in a randomized controlled design among shift workers. We also studied whether the features of shift work disorder (SWD) affected the results. Methods A total of 83 shift workers with insomnia disorder were partially randomized into a group-based CBT-I, self-help CBT-I, or sleep hygiene control intervention. The purpose of the paper is to specify the nature of the seasonal behaviors of tourist stay demand in Tunisia by using recent tools of monthly time series analysis. The available series (tourist expenditures, prices, guest nights, reception capacities,...) are analyzed with the classical theory of demand and the theory of supply induced demand. Empirical results show that these series are generated by non stationary processes which seasonality is stochastic and deterministic. The extent of the maximum likelihood method proposed by Lee (1992) for monthly data emphasizes unit roots and cointegration relationships at some seasonal frequencies. DOBRO : a prediction error correcting robot under drifts

We propose DOBRO, a light online learning module, which is equipped with a smart correction policy helping making decision to correct or not the given prediction depending on how likely the correction will lead to a better prediction performance. DOBRO is a standalone module requiring nothing more than a time series of prediction errors and it is flexible to be integrated into any black-box model to improve its performance under drifts. We performed evaluation in a real-world application with bus arrival time prediction problem. The obtained results show that DOBRO improved prediction performance significantly meanwhile it did not hurt the accuracy when drift does not happen.
