Coulomb corrections to the three-body correlation function in high-energy heavy ion reactions
1998
Starting from an asymptotically correct three-body Coulomb wave-function, we determine the effect of Coulomb final state interaction on the three-particle Bose-Einstein correlation function of similarly charged particles. We numerically estimate that the Riverside approximation is not precise enough to determine the three-body Coulomb correction factor in the correlation function, if the characteristic HBT radius parameter is 5 - 10 fm, which is the range of interest in high-energy heavy ion physics.
Effects of neutron richness on the behavior of nuclear systems at intermediate energies
2012
We discuss results concerning the behavior of hot nuclear sources formed in 40 ,48Ca+40 ,48Ca reactions at 25 MeV/nucleon. A correlation between the neutron-to-proton ratio of the total systems and heavy residue production is found. This correlation underlines the strong role played by the neutron-to-proton ratio degree of freedom on the behavior of hot nuclei at intermediate energies. Comparisons of our data with Constrained Molecular Dynamics calculations confirm that a moderately stiff behavior of the symmetry potential must be used to reproduce experimental data. These findings open the way for future investigations with exotic beams at radioactive ion beam facilities. © 2012 American P…

Effect of three-body cluster on the healing properties of the Jastrow Correlation function
1973
A variational equation for the Jastrow Correlation function is derived from the energy functional expanded up to three-body cluster terms. The asymptotic behaviour of this nonlinear equation is studied. The solutions show a healing at least of the type cos(tαr)/r2. The influence of higher cluster contributions is studied. Finally, it is discussed, how one can reduce the many-body cluster contributions to healing conditions to be used in the two-body cluster treatment.
Short-range correlations and neutrinoless double beta decay
2007
In this work we report on the effects of short-range correlations upon the matrix elements of neutrinoless double beta decay. We focus on the calculation of the matrix elements of the neutrino-mass mode of neutrinoless double beta decays of 48Ca and 76Ge. The nuclear-structure components of the calculation, that is the participant nuclear wave functions, have been calculated in the shell-model scheme for 48Ca and in the proton-neutron quasiparticle random-phase approximation (pnQRPA) scheme for 76Ge. We compare the traditional approach of using the Jastrow correlation function with the more complete scheme of the unitary correlation operator method (UCOM). Our results indicate that the Jast…

Measurement of in oscillation using quantum correlations in at
2015
We report a measurement of the parameter y(CP) in D-0-(D) over bar (0) oscillations performed by taking advantage of quantum coherence between pairs of D-0(D) over bar (0) mesons produced in e(+)e(-) annihilations near threshold. In this work, doubly-tagged D-0(D) over bar (0) events, where one D decays to a CP eigenstate and the other D decays in a semileptonic mode, are reconstructed using a data sample of 2.92 fb(-1) collected with the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energy of root s = 3.773 GeV. We obtain y(CP) = (-2.0 +/- 1.3 +/- 0.7)%, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. This result is compatible with the current world average.
Two-pion Bose–Einstein correlations in central Pb–Pb collisions at sNN=2.76 TeV
2011
The first measurement of two-pion Bose-Einstein correlations in central Pb-Pb collisions at root(NN)-N-S = 2.76 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider is presented. We observe a growing trend with energy now not only for the longitudinal and the outward but also for the sideward pion source radius. The pion homogeneity volume and the decoupling time are significantly larger than those measured at RHIC. (C) 2010 CERN. Published by Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
