A l'époque romantique, la correspondance devient petit à petit considérée comme un genre mineur, distinct de la création poétique. Les deux genres apparaissent en effet incompatibles : alors que la lettre devrait être spontanée, fermement ancrée dans le présent, le poème est une œuvre créée, qui tente de se libérer de la temporalité. Cet article se fixe comme objectif d’analyser la fonction et l’utilisation du genre Letters to the Editor au sein d’une communauté de chercheurs francophones. L’impact et la représentation de ce mode d’expression scientifique ont été mesurés à l’aide d’une enquête sous forme de questionnaire dont les résultats sont rapportés et analysés. Cette étude permet de dégager les stratégies d’utilisation du genre et conduit à proposer quelques pistes pouvant aboutir à la caractérisation du genre. In this context, we try to show the interest of using the curvilinear regions in order to enhance the global performance of various matching applications. A brand new detector for curvilinear regions is introduced (CRD), along with the specific curvilinear regions descriptor (CRD) required. The polarization of light was introduced last ten years ago in the field of imaging system is a physical phenomenon that can be controlled for the purposes of the vision system. This thesis treats the area of ontology-based cooperation of information systems. We propose a global architecture called OWSCIS that is based on ontologies and web-services for the cooperation of distributed heterogeneous information systems. In this thesis, we focus on the problem of connecting the local information sources to the local ontologies within OWSCIS architecture. This problem is articulated by three main axes: 1) the creation of the local ontology from the local information sources, 2) the mapping of local information sources to an existing local ontology, and 3) the translation of queries over the local ontologies into queries over local information sources.
