This chapter aims to familiarize readers with the specificity of pharmaceutical discourse, including its spoken and written text varieties. I paid particular attention to two issues. Firstly, pharmaceutical discourse and pharmaceutical texts are often classified by researchers into broader category of medical or biomedical discourse. Second, pharmaceutical discourse is not autonomous as it is also permeated with medical, legal, academic and other discourses. Polish contemporary art to the anti-semitism of Poles and its political significance

Abstract This article presents artistic creativity which worked through the problem of Polish anti-Semitism. Almost all discussed works, performances, films, projects appeared after 2000, when Jan Tomasz Gross published his book Neighbors, in which he described the massacre in the village of Jedwabne (1941) launching a public debate about the responsibility of Poles in the Holocaust of the Jews. In the text, I showed as art, which is conventionally called “post-Jedwabne” was part of this debate. Displaying agency problems at the outset of psychotherapy

In order to present him- or herself at the outset of psychotherapy as a credible client, the person needs to, on one hand, formulate a sense of lost agency in accounts of his/her life situation, and on the other, to present him- or herself as willing and able to take part in conversational self-exploration. In this study, we looked in detail at how one person, seeking psychotherapy, constructed accounts that served this double function. The paper focuses on the ?unexpected pathways? of successful students with an immigrant background: these biographical routes, that seems socially impossible, raise theoretical issues around the individual-society, actor-structure relationship.
