International audience; This paper looks at diamesic variation in the works of Jamaican and Anglo-Jamaican dub poets such as Linton Kwesi Johnson, Benjamin Zephaniah and Mutabaruka. Dub poetry constitutes a turning point in the history of literature in Creole, since the genre achieved to establish Patwa as the legitimate medium for Caribbean writers, thereby effectively inverting (post)colonial linguistic hierarchies. International audience; The question of dialect has always been central to Caribbean literature, and more specifically to poetry. In a (post)colonial context of diglossia between standard English and Jamaican Creole, and of a strong hierarchy between oral and scribal forms of linguistic and literary expression, the mere possibility of writing ‘real’ literature in Patwa was severely contested until quite recently. This paper presents a behavioral analysis of the doxastic form creo (que) as a subjectification modal verb, specifically in its manifestation as a pragmatic intensifier device in a Spanish parliamentary debate. Previous work on creo (que) has suggested that it is indeed an intensifier (Fuentes 2010, Brenes 2015, Cuenca 2015), although many pragmatic approaches to these doxastic verbal forms, not only in the context of Spanish (Hennemann 2012; Albelda, Briz, Cestero, Kotwica y Villalba 2014) but also from other languages (Lakoff 1972; Hooper 1975; Lysvag 1975; Fraser 1975, 1980; Holmes 1984; Caffi 1999, 2004), have classified creo (que) as a marker of attenuation. The Creolophins: A Family of Linear Triquinanes fromCreolophus cirrhatus (Basidiomycete)

Complicatic acid and five novel linear triquinanes were isolated from mycelial cultures of Creolophus cirrhatus. The creolophins A, C, D, and E represent a novel type of highly oxidized triquinane sesquiterpenoids. Whereas those compounds with a secondary alcohol moiety in ring A are stable, the exomethylene ketone creolophin E (5) partly dimerized during workup to form the decacyclic 1,4-dioxepin-6-one neocreolophin (6).
