Supercritical hydrothermal synthesis of ZnO nanopowders beyond the critical point : understanding of nucleation and growth steps

2014

The supercritical hydrothermal synthesis of nanopowders (especially metal oxide) has been widely studied. To the best of our knowledge, no nanoparticle formation mechanism has been published yet. In this prospect, this study is dedicated to the understanding of metal oxide nanoparticle nucleation and growth mechanisms. For this purpose, zinc oxide is used as a model material. First, the influence of synthesis operating conditions such as pressure, temperature, pH, precursor concentrations and solution flow rates on particle morphological properties (size, particle size distribution or morphologies) has been investigated. Hence, two approaches have simultaneously been carried out. The first …

Croissance et convergence des pays de la zone CFA : une étude par les données de panel non stationnaires

2011

During the recent years, african countries in the CFA zone have experienced many economic changes on the one hand through the measures initiated by bilateral and multilateral donors and on the other hand through the economic and monetary integration policies. Thus, relying on the assumption that because of these interventions, the economic systems incorporate various phenomena such as structural change and economic interdependencies, we studied their major implications on growth, convergence and growth predictability. Emphasis is first placed on the major features of integration policies in a monetary union, while stressing the possible implications of such policies on the economic dynamics…

Structure et croissance de nanophases supportées d'oxyde de tungstène

2010

Tungsten trioxide nanorods can be elaborated on muscovite mica substrate through simple vapor deposition method. Growth of rods seems to follow a Stranski-Krastanov model. Their crystallography was investigated by TEM and reveals the presence of hexagonal phase. Such a metastable structure occurs from an interfacial hexagonal tungsten bronze which grows epitaxially on the substrate. This bronze phase contains potassium atoms coming from mica. Concerning the thickest rods, a monoclinic phase grows on the top of the hexagonal one. The hexagonal structure is thermally very stable: after annealing at 600°C, this phase is still detected whereas the rod morphology is destroyed. This point seems t…

Ab initio study of tungsten trioxide WO3 in volume and surface area

2012

The structure and stability of different crystallographic phases of tungstentrioxide and the effect of potassium doping have been studied using ab initiocalcuations, both in the bulk and at the surface. The study was motivatedby experimental works on the growth of WO3 nanorods on a mica substrate. The nanorods adopt a hexagonal phase, which is metastable in bulk WO3.The first part of the manuscript reports the study of bulk WO3. For thehexagonal and monoclinique phase, the atomic structure is deterimined andcompared with different models that have been proposed in the experimentalliterature. The relative stability of the two phases is calculated as a functionof potassium doping. From this an…

Externalités d'informations et évolution des villes

1999

Present-day city growth is chiefly the result of new tertiary activities such as financial and producer services, R&D, or business administration. These activities consume human capital, knowledge and high-tech capital, which are all rapidly changing inputs; they are based on complex decision-making processes; this renders them highly information-dependent. Inasmuch as these activities are the main key to understanding the city, information must play a leading role in understanding urban forms. The concentration of these activities in cities appears paradoxical in the era of information. They are agglomerated because of their need of proximity for exchanging information. But information can…

On the emergence of the urban phenomenon. Part I

2001

In this paper we develop a relatively simple but general model describing the formation of urban agglomerations in a pre-industrial setting. Rural agglomeration on a local scale arises from the multiplication and specialization of intermediate goods and labor services, while dispersion is due to the commuting costs of agricultural workers. Urban agglomeration on a more global scale stems from the trade-off between increasing returns to scale and transport costs of goods. We derive a general equilibrium model of the formation of urban structures and show how population growth, strict indivisibilities and structural changes in the production sector can modify quantitatively and qualitatively …

Sensitivity of a climate model to urban form : application on Dijon Métropole

2020

The urban environment is at the crossroads of two complex systems with different temporalities : climate and society. The urban climate is a modification of the climate caused by the presence of a city. The most successful expression of this climate change by the presence of the city is the phenomenon of Urban Heat Island (UHI). In a global context of adaptation and mitigation to climate change and urban development, this phenomenon of ICU tends to increase, and its health impacts on populations to become more prominent. This work is aimed at improving the knowledge of the impact of urban form and urban development on the intensity of the UCI through the implementation of a decision support…

L'imagerie multispectrale embarquée pour caractériser la croissance et l'état sanitaire du feuillage de la vigne

2015

Multispectral imaging systems are widely used in remote sensing and applied to viticulture context for the canopy characterization. This technique is not used in proximal sensing, to characterize vineyard foliage. Yet the results of field tests led in fixed position have revealed its capacity to estimate the leaf area. The aim of this project is to assess the suitable of a multispectral imaging system as an embedded sensor for vine foliage characterization. To this end, a multispectral camera acquiring visible and near-infrared images and a Greenseeker RT-100 apparatus providing an NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), were installed on a track laying tractor. It was equipped with …

Study of TiO2 nanostructures grown in a MOCVD reactor in presence of metallic catalysts. Valorization of these TiO2 nanostructures

2017

Within the Nanoform Theme, Ax Nanosciences, ICB, we realize the growth of 1D, 2D and 3D hybrid nanostructures based on TiO2 by MOCVD. Our work deals with the theoretical aspect of the formation of these nanostructures (growth and kinetic models, structure and texture) and the study of photoelectric, optical and physicochemical properties as well as the development of applications of these structures in physics (random laser), photocatalysis, energy (solar cells). Under certain perfectly controlled conditions, we obtain original TiO2 structures not yet described in the literature: membranes, rods , canals, crucibles, COHN (COaxiales Heterostructures Nanowires). Our previous work made it poss…
