Modern historiography has studied the influence of messianic and millennialist ideas in the Crown of Aragon extensively and, more particularly, how they were linked to the Aragonese monarchy. To date, research in the field of art history has mainly considered royal iconography from a different point of view: through coronation, historical or dynastic images. The Role of doctors in the slave trade during the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries within the Kingdom of Valencia (Crown of Aragon)

Slavery had become increasingly widespread throughout the entire Mediterranean region during the late Middle Ages. At the same time, a new form of medicine (based upon the Galenism to which the universities gave voice), together with the practice thereof and its practitioners, had gained ground. Detailed evidence from the Kingdom of Valencia enables us to study these two topics, namely slavery and the new medicine. This article illustrates how doctors came to play a highly active role in the slave trade through the assistance they provided in preventing and rectifying any instances of fraud therein.

This article is an attempt to detail which logistical, economic and human implications had the itinerancy of the medieval monarchy. For this reason, the paper focuses on the characteristics of the itinerancy of Eleanor of Sicily, third wife of Pedro the Ceremonious and queen of the Crown of Aragon between 1349 and 1375. Through the analysis of her documentation, from chancery and treasury resources, it has been possible to establish an itinerary of the queen for three years, from 1354 to 1357. The aim of this article is to provide an initial survey about the relationship between food habits and health in a Mediterranean city during the Late Middle Ages, by comparing medical treatises, gastronomic recipes and the archival sources that tell us about the actual expenses in food. Through this comparison, and by using accounting records of aristocratic houses, merchant enterprises, convents and hospitals, we can observe the dietary guidelines that were applied, and their concordance with the galenic principles of University medicine. Objectives As the 2-year results for immediately inserted and provisionalized implants have been reported, it remained an open issue, whether the initially high success rates and the esthetic outcome remain stable for longer observation periods. Therefore, this prospective study examines the 5-year hard and soft tissue changes at implants placed in the anterior maxilla. Background To evaluate the changes in the peri-implant soft tissues of convergent collar implants with biologically oriented preparation technique (BOPT) crowns, 10 months after loading. Material and Methods A pilot study was carried out from January 2016 to October 2017 involving 14 patients with one or two implants in the posterior mandibular sector. A total of 32 convergent collar implants were placed using a non-submerged protocol.
