Lo studio che segue è incentrato sull'analisi delle vicende costruttive della Cappella Palatina nel Palazzo Reale di Palermo, costruita per volontà di Ruggero II nella prima metà del XII secolo. During the 11th and 12th century, the Arab-Norman architectural style characterized the most beautiful and important Cultural Heritage buildings in Sicily, and especially in Palermo (Italy). The relevance of these monuments is highlighted by their inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites List in 2015. Tarkastelen artikkelissa Suomalaisen Kirjallisuuden Seuran (SKS) arkiston suhdetta kouluihin: sitä, missä rooleissa opettajat ja oppilaat ovat toimineet perinteen ja nykykulttuurin tallentamisessa 1800-luvulta tähän päivään ja millaisia tavoitteita SKS:llä on eri aikoina ollut koulujen kanssa tehdylle yhteistyölle. SKS perustettiin vuonna 1831 edistämään suomen kielen ja suomenkielisen kirjallisuuden asemaa. Kansanperinteen keruu ja tallentaminen kuuluivat seuran toimintaan alusta lähtien. Seuran kokoelmat ovat karttuneet kansalaisaktiivisuuden ansiosta ja erityisesti 1930-luvulla organisoidussa arkiston keruuverkossa opettajat olivat vahvasti edustettuina. Latvijas Universitātes akadēmiķim, profesoram Visvaldim Varnešam Klīvem (1935–2003) izveidota virtuālā izstāde “Vieglus darbus neatmaksājas darīt: V. V. Klīvem – 85”, kurā atspoguļots ne tikai profesora dzīves gājums, bet LU Bibliotēkas krājumā esošā profesora Klīves grāmatu kolekcija. Izstādes sagatavošanas laikā izveidojās cieša un draudzīga sadarbība ar profesora sievu Viju Klīvi. Sarunās ar Klīves kundzi atklājās, ka nozīmīgs viņu dzīves periods kopā aizvadīts arī Indijā. Intervija atspoguļo spilgtus momentus, kas skar prof. V. V. Klīves un Vijas Klīves misijas darbu Indijā: personīgos iespaidus par šīs valsts klimatu, ļaudīm un kultūru.
