Abstract In this paper, we revisit the singularly perturbation problem (0.1) − ( ϵ 2 a + ϵ b ∫ R 3 | ∇ u | 2 ) Δ u + V ( x ) u = | u | p − 1 u in R 3 , where a , b , ϵ > 0 , 1 p 5 are constants and V is a potential function. First we establish the uniqueness and nondegeneracy of positive solutions to the limiting Kirchhoff problem − ( a + b ∫ R 3 | ∇ u | 2 ) Δ u + u = | u | p − 1 u in R 3 . Then, combining this nondegeneracy result and Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction method, we derive the existence of solutions to (0.1) for ϵ > 0 sufficiently small. Finally, we establish a local uniqueness result for such derived solutions using this nondegeneracy result and a type of local Pohozaev identity.
Spectral alignment of multi-temporal cross-sensor images with automated kernel canonical correlation analysis

In this paper we present an approach to perform relative spectral alignment between optical cross-sensor acquisitions. The proposed method aims at projecting the images from two different and possibly disjoint input spaces into a common latent space, in which standard change detection algorithms can be applied. The system relies on the regularized kernel canonical correlation analysis transformation (kCCA), which can accommodate nonlinear dependencies between pixels by means of kernel functions. A marked positive excursion in δ13C is dated as Middle Oxfordian in age. In this study we investigate if changes in carbonate sedimentation coincided with altered carbon cycling and climate. We use C-isotope records as a proxy for the evolution of the carbon cycle and compare δ13C-trends with the evolution of sedimentation in a segment of the opening Tethys seaway. We here describe the first partial cranium of Hyaenodon leptorhynchus, the type species of the taxonomically diverse and widely distributed hypercarnivorous genus Hyaenodon (Hyaenodonta). The cranium is from the Seon Saint-Andre deposits (Marseille, France; Chattian, MP26). It is preserved in a dense red marl matrix that obscures key morphological features. CT-scans were used to reconstruct the specimen. The morphology of the cranium reinforces the homogeneity previously observed in Hyaenodon despite its specific diversity. Salvia miltiorrhiza (SM) Bunge is one of the widely-used Chinese medicinal herbs. In this study, the chemical constituents and anticancer potential of SM stems and leaves were examined with those of respective callus cultures. The callus culture for stem and leaf explants was initiated in modified Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium. Active constituents of respective extracts were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography coupled with DAD and MS (HPLC-DAD-MS). Rosmarinic acid (RA) and salvianolic acid B (Sal B) were determined to be the main phenolic compounds.
