The new direct-acting oral anticoagulants (ACOD) in patients on prolonged treatment require the need to balance the risk of haemorrhage by administering them against the risk of thrombosis on withdrawing them. Because of the characteristics of direct oral anticoagulants (DOA), the lack of an antidote to completely reverse their anticoagulant effects, the absence of standardization in monitoring of their effects, and limited experience of their use, specific recommendations for their management in the perioperative period or in emergencies are required. Transformation toward greener, healthier and safer management of urban mobility demand is needed soon. Smart tools are available to assess the impact of new infrastructural projects and road facilities also from an environmental point of view. In this pilot study pollutant emissions at a sample of urban roundabouts were estimated employing the Vehicle Specific Power methodology which needs second-by-second speed profiles both gathered in the field and simulated in AIMSUN. To meet continuous and sustainable improvement on road infrastrucutures, new technologies and smart devices are encouraging the development of a mobile crowdsensing system for collecting and monitoring data to be used in efficiency assessment. Accurate reliability and availability models for direct interconnection networks

Fault tolerance in multicomputer interconnection networks has been traditionally studied by determining the worst possible combination of faulty components that causes its failure and then assuming that this will occur. But, the probability of the worst possible combination is usually low, and the routing algorithm may be able to find a route between source and destination nodes. The network dependability parameters computed according to this approach will be underestimated.
