International audience; This paper aims to compare the educational outcomes of children of immigrants in France and in the US to understand the educational inequalities and opportunities for social mobility for the second generation in both countries. The comparison is focused on children from two groups: North Africans in France and Mexicans in the US. By using two longitudinal datasets, the French Educational Panel Survey and Add Health, we examine aspirations, expectations and attainment in secondary education in the two contexts. W pierwszej kolejności analizowane są nowele Die Flucht der van Spandows i Die Krähe. Następnie pada pytanie, jakie możliwości uchwycenia i opisu żydowskiego losu dawało śląskie pochodzenie Arnolda Zweiga.

Kvalifikācijas darbs “Četrgadīgu bērnu empātijas attīstības sekmēšana literāro darbu iepazīšanas procesā”. Darba autore:Līga Čudare Darbs sastāv no divām daļām: teorētiskā un empīriskā daļa. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tika izzināts empātijas jēdziena raksturojums, kā arī vecumposma raksturojums un metodiskie paņēmieni darbam ar daiļliteratūru. Darba empīriskajā daļā tika novērtēts bērnu empātijas līmenis pēc desmit literāro darbu fragmentu lasīšanas un apspriešanas. Darbs sastāv no 54 lapaspusēm, darbā ir iekļauti 19 attēli, 3 tabulas, 42 literatūras avoti. Atslēgas vārdi: pirmsskola, empātija, daiļliteratūra, empātijas attīstība.

Cooled preservation of semen is usually associated with artificial insemination and genetic improvement programs in livestock species. Several studies have reported an increase in reactive oxidative species and a decrease in antioxidant substances and sperm quality parameters during long-term semen storage at refrigerated temperatures. The supplementation of antioxidants in extenders before refrigeration could reduce this detrimental effect. Various antioxidants have been tested, both enzymatic, such as superoxide dismutase and catalase, and non-enzymatic, such as reduced glutathione, vitamins E and C and melatonin. Phytoestrogens are a group of plant-derived compounds that include mainly isoflavones like daidzein. Phytoestrogens prevent neuronal damage and improve outcome in experimental stroke; however, the mechanisms of this neuroprotective action have not been fully elucidated. In this context, it has been postulated that phytoestrogens might activate the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ (PPARγ), which exerts neuroprotective effects in several settings. Concentrando l’attenzione su un particolare momento storico, caratterizzato da inquietudini legate alla vita religiosa, da nuovi fermenti culturali e da istanze politiche di rinnovamento, si è cercato di restituire quello che fu il dibattito sul tema dell’omicidio rituale limitatamente alla realtà trentina ed asburgica della metà del XVIII secolo. Girolamo Tartarotti è l’erudito su cui la parte più importante di questa tesi sarà centrata. Altro personaggio su cui si è costruita la tesi è il francescano Benedetto Bonelli. Quanto alla posizione di Bonelli sulla stregoneria, essa sarà descritta nel II capitolo, attraverso un parallelo con l’opera di Tartarotti.

RESUMEN: En este artículo se presenta la evaluación eudaimonista como una articulación entre el agente y los objetos del mundo. Sostendremos que, gracias a esta noción, la teoría de las emociones de Nussbaum es adecuada para dar cuenta de la función adaptativa de las emociones, por lo que las teorías no cognitivas no resultarían superiores en este aspecto. Esta noción serviría, asimismo, para no dejar de lado los aspectos cognitivos de la emoción. This experiment aimed to examine the effects of the utilization of monocultures of ryegrass (R), sulla (S) or both of them (RS), and the prolongation of daily grazing from 8 h (8:00-16:00) to 24 h, evaluating behaviour, selectivity, intake and milk and cheese production of ewes at pasture. The experiment involved 42 Comisana ewes averaging 146±55 days in milk, divided into 6 homogeneous groups which, since 19th April for 42 days, continuously grazed under a stocking rate of 34 ewes/ha.
