Publiskā runa tiek uzskatīta par izšķirošu prasmi, kas ietekmē tālāk apmācību un nodarbinātības veiksmi. Tomēr daudzās EFL klasēs, kur mācās angļu valodu kā svešvalodu, runas prasmju attīstība nav pietiekami risināta. The ADA and the EASD recently published a consensus statement for the medical management of hyperglycaemia in patients with type 2 diabetes. The authors advocate initial treatment with metformin monotherapy and lifestyle modification, followed by addition of basal insulin or a sulfonylurea if glycaemic goals are not met (tier 1 recommendations). All other glucose-lowering therapies are relegated to a secondary (tier 2) status and only recommended for selected clinical settings. This study applied the functional theory of political campaign discourse, developed for political campaigns in the United States to two televised presidential debates in the 2012 presidential elections in Finland. Acclaims were the most preferred statement by the candidates, with agreements being the least preferred. Policy was discussed more than character during the debates. General goals and ideals were used more frequently to acclaim than to attack. S'estudia el contrast entre el que es diu la posición Lockeana i la posición Berkeleyana sobre l'origen de la cognoció. La diferencia entre elles rau en el paper asignat al llenguatje respecte al coneixement. Aquest treball manté, no obstant, una posició híbrida. Se estudia el contraste entre lo que se ha venido a llamar posición Lokeana y la posición Berkeleyana, respecto del origen de la cognición. La diferencia entre las dos está en su diferente posición acerca del papel asignado al lenguaje para el conocimiento. Este trabajo explicará la posibilidad de una posición híbrida.

This paper aims to answer the question of why constituent moments are relevant to political theory. It hypothesises the Spanish constitutional debate of 1931 as a case of conceptual innovation in parliamentary politics by arguing that debates in constituent moments entail a special kind of parliamentary argumentation when new political regimes are established. The article reconstructs Galen’s position on the phenomenon of solecism, by examining the occurrences of σολοικίζω and terms related to it in the Galenic corpus. Solecism was debated in the II century A.D. as part of the more general ‘language issue’. Against the Atticistic trends that were very widespread at that time, Galen appears to be relatively tolerant of solecisms which does not imply a distortion of medical knowledge. Yet, his attitude is very different as regards linguistic errors due to a mistaken view of physical and medical theories.
