Background Odontomas are the most frequent odontogenic tumors in the oral cavity and can result in failure of eruption of permanent teeth or be associated with impacted teeth. Material and Methods The present study evaluated the prevalence of complex and compound odontomas in non-syndromic patients prior to the onset of orthodontic treatment. Panoramic radiographs of 4,267 non-syndromic patients were evaluated; 22 cases were included being 54.5% complex and 45.4% compound odontomas. Hypothesis: Oral insulin administration is not actually effective due to insulin rapid degradation, inactivation and digestion by proteolytic enzymes which results in low bioavailability. Moreover insulin is poorly permeable and lack of lipophilicity. These limits can be overcome by the loading of protein in some nanostructured carrier such as halloysite nanotubes (HNTs). In this paper we generalize an encoding method due to Girod (cf. [6]) using prefix codes, that allows a bidirectional decoding of the encoded messages. In particular we generalize it to any finite alphabet A, to any operation defined on A, to any code with finite deciphering delay and to any key x ∈ A+ , on a length depending on the deciphering delay. We moreover define, as in [4], a deterministic transducer for such generalized method. We have classified promising nanomaterials for drug delivery on the basis of their natural or synthetic origin. Nanoclays are available in different morphologies (nanotubes, nanoplates and nanofibers) and they are typically available at low cost from natural resources. Solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) containing tamoxifen, a nons- teroidal antiestrogen used in breast cancer therapy, were prepared by microemulsion and precipitation techniques. Tamoxifen loaded SLNs seem to have dimensional properties useful for parenteral administration, and in vitro plasmatic drug release studies demon- strated that these systems are able to give a prolonged release of the drug in the intact form.
