La Biblioteca Nacional de España ha trabajado activamente en la adaptación de RDA a la descripción del libro antiguo desde el año 2015, hasta poder afrontar finalmente desde el año 2020 el paso definitivo: la redacción del perfil de aplicación de RDA para monografías antiguas de la BNE. [EN] Polysaccharide-based chiral stationary phases (CSPs) are the most used chiral selectors in HPLC. These CSPs can be used in normal, polar organic and aqueous-organic mobile phases. However, normal and polar organic mobile phases are not adequate for chiral separation of polar compounds, for the analysis of aqueous samples and for MS detection. In these situations, reversed phase conditions, without the usual non-volatile additives incompatible with MS detection, are preferable. Abstract Following the interesting arguments raised in a recent letter to the editor, about a paper recently published in this journal, the authors are happy to take a cue from them to clarify some facts that have not been sufficiently treated for space. After a description of the methods used, arguments regarding a blunt trauma on the right shoulder with consequent dislocation, the position of the hands on the pubis with brachial plexus injury, and the wrist nailing that caused retracted thumbs are discussed in detail.

Moscato Cerletti, a rediscovered aromatic cultivar with oenological potential in warm and dry areas

Baron Antonio Mendola was devoted to the study of grapevine, applying ampelography and dabbling in crosses between cultivars in order to select new ones, of which Moscato Cerletti, obtained in 1869, was the most interesting. Grillo, one of the most important white cultivars in Sicily, was ascertained to be an offspring of Catarratto Comune and Zibibbo, the same parents which Mendola claimed he used to obtain Moscato Cerletti. In the paper an integrated pictorial database is described. The design of the data management requires many efforts to preserve consistency and integrity. The retrieval operations are designed to support a uniform view of heterogeneous information including uncertain ones; in this last case, non-standard techniques have to be developed. Applications to astronomical images and an outline of the implementation status are given.

This study focuses on digital Computer Aided Restoration procedures to guide the complex physical restoration of an artwork, innovating and implementing traditional survey methods.
