Retail Evolution in Eastern European Countries: An Overview
2020
Retail has evolved a lot in the last years. Still, compared to more mature markets (such as US, UK, Germany, France, Sweden, the Netherlands), retail in Eastern European countries is less developed, with more balanced supply and demand. According to GfK’s report on European Retail in 2018, in 2017 there was a slight increase (+1.9 percent) in the purchasing power within the European Union (EU28) countries, Romania having the biggest increase (+7.8 percent) [1]. However, Romania’s low per capita purchasing power shows a gap in wealth levels across Europe. Huge differences between Western and Eastern Europe are visible also in terms of per capita values for retail space. Thus, the purpose of …

Is there sustainable entrepreneurship in the wine industry? Exploring Sicilian wineries participating in the SOStain program
2016
Abstract Global climate change and the accelerating depletion of natural resources have contributed to increase discussions about the role of private enterprises in reversing negative environmental trends. Rather than focusing on profit maximization, policy makers and consumers pressure groups expect firms to meet a triple-bottom line of economic, environmental and social value creation. Hence sustainable entrepreneurship has received recently increasing interest as a phenomenon and a research topic. More recently, the concept of sustainability has been taken seriously in the Italian wine industry. The organizational challenge for entrepreneurship is to better integrate social and environme…

Salud sexual de los menores y jóvenes del sistema de protección y en conflicto con la ley

The Phenomenon of Social Enterprise in Austria: A Triangulated Descriptive Study
2011
Abstract There is little to no existing research on the phenomenon of social enterprises (SEs) in Austria. To enable subsequent comparative studies, the author first traces social enterprises' conceptual underpinnings from most current research found in leading journals and subsequently creates a framework based upon social origins theory for use on Austria's social enterprises. In order to validate the findings, the author employs a triangulated research approach, including an online-based survey, semi-structured interviews and two panel discussions. Social enterprises in Austria are characterized through social activities, organizational types, legal forms, the society sector, the outcome…
Women, translation and censorship in the Franco Regime

This article presents a descriptive study of the incidence of censorship in the translation into Spanish of Larry McMurtry’s opera prima Horseman, Pass By. Advertising Budget Practices: A Review
1995
Abstract The determination of the advertising budget has been studied by academics from several perspectives. One of these is to examine how this decision is made from a practical point of view. This paper reviews the nearly thirty studies published on this subject and highlights trends and differences over time which might allow us to reach conclusions, by size of firm, sector and geographical location. This descriptive approach to techniques for determining advertising budgets will allow us to draw some normative conclusions.
Palliative Care Education in Undergraduate Nursing Curriculum in Italy
2019
Worldwide, more than 19 million people require palliative care because of an advanced stage of disease. A descriptive study was conducted through the universities web pages. For each degree, the curricula of the academic years from 2010 to…
