Although many variants of the hawk-dove game predict the frequency at which group foraging animals should compete aggressively, none of them can explain why a large number of group foraging animals share food clumps without any overt aggression. In this paper we intend to argue that: (1) the question `True V or not True V' is central to both the philosophical and mathematical investigations of the foundations of mathematics; (2) when posed within a framework in which set theory is seen as a science of objects, the question `True V or not True V' generates a dilemma each horn of which turns out to be unacceptable; (3) a plausible way out of the dilemma mentioned at (2) is provided by an approach to set theory according to which this is considered to be a science of structures.

The evolution of competitive interactions among viruses1 was studied in the RNA phage φ6 at high and low multiplicities of infection (that is, at high and low ratios of infecting phage to host cells). At high multiplicities, many phage infect and reproduce in the same host cell, whereas at low multiplicities the viruses reproduce mainly as clones. An unexpected result of this study1 was that phage grown at high rates of co-infection increased in fitness initially, but then evolved lowered fitness. This paper extends the analysis by Dall'erba and Le Gallo dealing with the impact of structural funds on the growth process of European regions. Like most of the other 18 contributions assessing the efficiency of structural funds, our article was based on a global model of b-convergence: one coefficient pertaining to the structural funds variable was estimated for the whole sample. In this paper, we extend this approach by performing local estimations, where one coefficient is estimated for each region, so that the impact of structural funds can be regionally differentiated. Abstract The dimensions that explain which societal groups cooperate more with which other groups remain unclear. We predicted that perceived similarity in agency/socioeconomic success and conservative-progressive beliefs increases cooperation across groups. Self-identified members (N = 583) of 30 society-representative U.S. groups (gays, Muslims, Blacks, upper class, women, Democrats, conservatives etc.) played an incentivized one-time continuous prisoner's dilemma game with one self-identified member of each of these groups. Solitary keratoacanthoma involving upper lip: a diagnostic dilemma - case report and a brief review

Keratoacanthoma (KA) is a benign epithelial proliferative lesion which frequently occurs on the sun exposed areas of the skin. KA originates within the pilosebaceous apparatus of the skin and may be solitary or multiple. Solitary KA can be difficult to differentiate from squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) both clinically and microscopically. However, the clinical course of the lesion and its ability to self involute makes it a distinct clinical entity. Solitary KA appears on the vermilion border of the lower lips with some frequency. Purpose Deciding not to re-admit a patient to the intensive care unit (ICU) poses an ethical dilemma for ICU physicians. We aimed to describe and understand the attitudes and perceptions of ICU physicians regarding non-readmission of patients to the ICU. Materials and methods Multicenter, qualitative study using semi-directed interviews between January and May 2019.
