Wind direction is one of the fundamental parameters of weather. In this study we investigate the wind direction climate 10 m above surface level in the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). The analysis of wind direction over larger regions is usually hindered by the fact that wind direction is a circular variable, which means that averaged values are meaningless. In a parking area scenario, IPT is a proper method aiming at the energy transfer from the vehicle battery to the electric grid too. Bi-Directional Inductive Power Transfer (BDIPT) Systems are an attractive solution for the automotive market. Due to the great relevance of the energy saving problem, the goal of an efficiency maximization is researched by the energy market. In this paper, the problems of relay selection and distributed beamforming are investigated for bi-directional dual-hop amplify-and-forward frequency-division duplex cooperative wireless networks. When using individual per-relay maximum transmission power constraint, it has been proven that the relay selection and beamforming optimization problem becomes NP hard and requires exhaustive search to find the optimal solution. The issue of morphodynamic influence in meandering streams is investigated through a series of laboratory experiments on curved and straight flumes. Both qualitative and quantitative observations confirm the suitability of the recent theoretical developments (Zolezzi & Seminara 2001) that indicate the occurrence of two distinct regimes of morphodynamic influence, depending on the value of the width ratio of the channel β. In the present work, we try to provide some understanding about the factors underlying the directional tendencies, by examining the impact of biomechanical constraints and cultural habits on directionality in graphic movements.
