Purpose: We created a simplified modification of the seromuscular tube technique for continent cutaneous urinary diversion. Materials and Methods: We applied a simplified modification of our seromuscular tube technique in 1 woman and 2 men with a mean age of 53 years in whom outlet failure developed after continent cutaneous urinary diversion, and in whom adiposity and postoperative adhesions rendered revision difficult. We constructed a continent outlet conduit by imbricating the whole bowel wall and suturing it into a tube. Participaron 234 deportistas argentinos (47,9 % varones; 52,1 % mujeres) de entre 12 y 16 años de edad (M = 14,48; DT = 1,09) pertenecientes al Plan de Desarrollo de los Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud (Buenos Aires, 2018), quienes respondieron un cuestionario sociodemográfico, el Inventario de Aspiraciones vitales y la Escala de Pasión. Objective: To compare the quality of life and health in patients with incontinent and continent urinary diversions, in correlation with the initial diagnosis, diversion-related symptoms, psychological status and employment status. Transrenal ureteral occlusion: results and problems.

Purpose The effectiveness of transrenal ureteral occlusion was evaluated. Patients and Methods Transrenal ureteral occlusions were performed in 83 ureters of 76 patients. Thirty-one ureters were occluded with use of tissue adhesive, which was secured in place with Gianturco coils in 21. Fifty-two ureters were occluded by means of silicone-filled, detachable latex balloons. Average follow-up was 3.6 months (range, 1 week to 38 months) for patients treated with the tissue adhesive and 7.9 months (range, 1 week to 61 months) for patients treated with the detachable balloons.
