RESUMEN En esta tesis se analiza la lista de espera de consultas externas en atención especializada en un hospital comarcal desde el punto de vista de la Teoría General de Sistemas, mediante la aplicación de un modelo de simulación y asociando un estudio piloto para el análisis de la demanda y de la calidad de información contenida en los formatos de derivación de pacientes entre niveles asistenciales, todo ello, dentro de un proceso de modelización genérico en siete etapas. This paper presents the results of a research study whose objective was to identify the facilitating factors and barriers that, in the opinion of representatives of the Spanish scientific community, impact the implementation of the new open science model in four areas: open access, open research data, research assessment and open peer review. A qualitative study was designed in which information was obtained through interviews with researchers, editors of scientific journals, representatives of assessment agencies and vice-chancellors, and through a focus group of librarians with expertise in aspects of open science. Cognitive Load and Learning in the Study of Multiple Documents

This study had two main purposes. First, to test how the availability of documents in multiple document reading might affect students’ levels of cognitive load. Secondly, to develop an instrument that captures the different sources of load when working with multiple documents. A total of 125 secondary school students read four short texts on transgenic foods and subsequently responded to an open-ended question that required them to write an essay expressing their personal stance towards the topic. This presentation aims at studying the role of para-linguistic organizers used to design technical texts on screen. We are focusing on text setting devices, especially the parenthesis, the footnotes, the more explicit text type statements (such as «Example : » before a text part) and the pop-up windows. Methods of experimental psychology were used in order to analyse written texts and also to study the influence of para-linguistic organizers on the reading process (memorisation and information retrieval).
