Spatial spillovers in France: a study on individual count data at the city level

Our study aims to measure the effects of spatial R&D spillovers on firms' patent production at the city level. We use an original method to estimate the spatial dimension of spillovers using count data. The method, based on a generalized cross entropy approach, allows us to test spatial auto-correlation. The main result is that when there are local spillovers, their impact on knowledge production is different according to the geographical area and the sector.

Today the concept of minerality in wines is omnipresent. It appears in marketing discourses, in oenological critics and commercial communication. However, there is no common agreement on a general definition. This paper aims to study the different expectations that Swiss and French consumers have about minerality. The multidimensionality of the term is reflected through stereotypes like the odor of flint, the impression of "sucking a stone", or referring to acidity or to the Terroir. Thus, the term minerality appears as a unstable concept and providing a precise definition remains consequently difficult for many consumers.

Si les mémoires collectives sont longtemps restées l’apanage des ethnologues, les maisons d’écrivains sont les premières institutions à développer un type d’itinéraires touristiques en lien avec les politiques locales. Although methods of representation and analyze have been proposed, none of them seem to be able to efficiently bring out knowledge from data.
