African forests within the Congo Basin are generally mapped at regional scale as broad-leaved evergreen forests, with a main distinction between terra-firme and swamp forests types. At the same time, commercial forest inventories, as well as national maps, have highlighted a strong spatial heterogeneity of forest types. A detailed vegetation map generated using consistent methods is needed to inform decision makers about spatial forest organisation and theirs relationships with environmental drivers in the context of global change. Results By sequence analysis and cloning, a functional luxI-like gene, named cinI, has been identified on the At plasmid of A. tumefaciens strain P4. Anosov flows constitute a very important class of dynamical systems, because of its persistent chaotic behaviour, as well as for its rich interaction with the topology of the ambient space. On the dynamics of learning in elementary schools. - The statistical results presented in this paper are based on data from a longitudinal survey of elementary school children in the Dijon area. They provide strong support for the hypothesis — which stresses the cumulative aspect of learning, predicting that better mastery of concepts and higher levels of initial learning are inputs which aid in further acquisition of learning — indicating that differences in learning in grade 1 that are attributable to pedagogical inputs exert a large and statistically significant effect on learning in grades 2 and 3.

The adsorption of H2 in zeolites by molecular simulations use, in many applications, single sphere model. Although this representation provides coherent results with ex- periments above 77K, below this temperature the usual hydrogen representation fails to reproduce experimental results. The disagreement can be associated to the interplay of the atomistic heterogeneity and the electric field produced by the zeolite faujasite. These aspects are generally excluded in classical force fields.
