Current Trends in the Exploitation of Mature Gas Fields to Capitalize the Energy Potential
2021
The exploitation of mature natural gas fields is a topical issue in the industry given that most of the production, about 70%, comes from these reservoirs. Implementation of the project management into the exploitation of mature gas reservoirs has a notable ascension because of the fact that in the execution of the operational programs always has developed a mechanism to achieve the objectives in a sustainable manner. The project management in gas industry it is known as rehabilitation concept or integrated reservoir development, which has a major impact on increasing the recovery factor. The paper intends to present the current trends in the exploitation of mature gas fields by applying th…
Aflame Face. The Sicilian Days of Carlo Levi.
2019
The seventy-three years of Carlo Levi’s (Turin 1902-Rome 1975) arch of life reveal his extraordinary coherency as an intellectual, his political flame, and his aesthetic versatility. His life was an expressive symbiosis with painting and writing: two forms of 'saying' amalgamated as one. If his love for Lucania is distilled from his journey to the South of Italy, his 'Sicilian days', framed in the Fifties, and preserved in his novel Words are Stones, radiate a subterranean and solar Sicily inhabited by violence and by Guttuso’s palette. The absorbing dynamism of the oxymoron governs the whole: that is, a spiritual, geological, social soul of a world, the peasant one, on the threshold of dis…
Graphical models for estimating dynamic networks
2012
Rece…
Sonnets for a City on a Hill
2012
One factor – one among many – that lends a work of art dynamism and interest is tension. Both the making and the reading of poems can be thought of as dynamic processes. Processes that begin with the gradual discovery of their own obstacles and, in finding satisfactory ways to overcome them, achieve completion by integrating resolved conflicts into an expanded field of understanding.
Financial Market Development in Emerging Asia: the Corporate Governance Perspective (Presentation Slides)
2018
Presentation on why Asia is different from Europe and the USA from a corporate governance perspective: weak formal institutions (e.g. law enforcement), diverse informal institutions (e.g. in terms of social elite) and with institutional dynamism (ongoing development of regulations, e.g. privatization) using economic liberalization as primary engine of growth.

Interactive Gradually Generating Relevance Query Refinement Under the Human-Mediated Scenario in Multilingual Settings
2016
As opposed to query modelling, relevance generating interactive query refinement (QR) is a technique aimed at exploiting syntax variations of gradually extended, being removed or replaced with some other keywords query, which depending on the factors like e.g. the information resource, the database structure, or the keyword alignment, facilitates significantly the searching process. Therefore our motivation is to explore the dynamism of the precision trend depended upon the factors analyzed. For a couple of language pairs which constitute multilingual settings, we develop a user-centred framework that imposes distributed search optimization. Our data set contains variety of query types subm…
La vegetazione psammofila della Sicilia settentrionale
2010
Coastal sand dune vegetation of Northern Sicily from Termini Imerese (Palermo) to Capo Peloro (Messina) was examined. The study revealed the presence of low dunes whose evolution and development is biased either by the local coast mophogenetic processes or due to the high anthropogenic pressure. Several associations referred to the classes Cakiletea and Ammophiletea were found, and, in particular: Salsolo kali- Cakiletum maritimae, Cakilo maritimae-Xanthietum italici, Salsolo kali-Euphorbietum peplis, Glaucio flavi-Matthioletum tricuspidatae, Sporoboletum arenarii, Cypero capitati-Agropyretum juncei, Medicagini marinae-Ammophiletum australis and Centaureo sphaerocephalae-Ononidetum ramosiss…
Digitalized bioeconomy: Planned obsolescence-driven circular economy enabled by Co-Evolutionary coupling
2019
Driven by digital solutions, the bioeconomy is taking major steps forward in recent years toward achievement of the long-lasting goal of transition from a traditional fossil economy to a bioeconomy-based circular economy. The coupling of digitalization and bioeconomy is leading towards a digitalized bioeconomy that can satisfy the shift in consumers’ preferences for eco-consciousness, which in turn induces coupling of up-down stream operation in the value chain. Thus, the co-evolution of the coupling of digitalization and bioeconomy and of upstream and downstream operations is transforming the forest-based bioeconomy into a digital platform industry. Aiming at addressing this transformation…
Harnessing soft innovation resources leads to neo open innovation
2019
Advancement of the digital economy has transformed the concept of the growth crossover in nations and firms, both concerning input and output. Advanced economies have been confronting a dilemma between input increases and output decreases. Contrary to traditional expectations, excessive increase in input has resulted in a productivity decline in output. A solution to this dilemma can only be expected by harnessing the vigor of soft innovation resources that lead to neo open innovation in the digital economy. This paper attempts to demonstrate this hypothetical view. Based on an empirical analysis of the development trajectories of 140 countries and 500 global ICT firms, dynamism, resulting …
