Many international e-government benchmarks seek to measure progress towards various versions of a digital society, and in this endeavor include a component of e-government. But because comparable international e-government data are scarce, most reports rely on the United Nations E-Government Development Index, specifically its Online Service Index as a benchmark. Collaboration and resource sharing have attracted a great interest among companies. Our contribution relates to this context, providing a decision-making support for companies. This article presents an instructional method to improve problem solving and creativity by employing computer-based simulations. The instructional method described is based upon empirical research conducted by the authors. The simulation presents contextually meaningful problem situations that require learners to analyze and prepare solution proposal(s). Most research on the management of innovation portfolios has focused on new product portfolios, whereas the management of new service portfolios has not been researched correspondingly. This paper addresses this literature gap by exploring portfolio management of New Service Development (NSD) activities empirically. The present paper aims at showing that there are times when set theoretical knowledge increases in a non-cumulative way. In other words, what we call ‘set theory’ is not one theory which grows by simple addition of a theorem after the other, but a finite sequence of theories T1, ..., T n in which Ti+1, for 1 ≤ i < n, supersedes T i . Review of Knowledge Management Models for Implementation within Advanced Product Quality Planning

The purpose of this paper is to review different Knowledge Management Models (KMM) based on their strengths and weaknesses and to ascertain their possible implementation within the scope of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) procedure. The KMM listed are selected based on an extensive literature review. They are presented in a visual manner and analyzed based on their structure and features, versus a predetermined set of criteria. This study offers an overview and a critical discussion of the merits and faults of a number KMM and suggests possible improvement avenues.
