Graves' orbitopathy (GO) is a disfiguring autoimmune condition, which can sometimes cause blindness (1). The disease has profound effects on quality of life (2), psychological health (3), and socioeconomic status (4). Progress in understanding and treating this disease has been slow. International audience; Plusieurs auteurs ont avancé l'idée que la recherche en comptabilité serait dominée par une "élite" constituée d'individus provenant d'un petit nombre d'universités et qui contrôlerait la production scientifique en monopolisant les fonctions éditoriales au sein des principales revues académiques. Le but de ce papier est de tester cette assertion en examinant la composition des editorial boards de 35 revues de comptabilité. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPARγ) ligand, has been shown to suppress inflammation and limit tumor progression in vivo. Are the anticancer properties of DHA relying on its ability to prevent inflammation? If so, what are the molecular links between the anti-inflammatory properties of DHA and its anticancer effects? Como análisis complementario se considera la nacionalidad o procedencia de los miembros de los consejos editoriales de las revistas de Educación. Hidden connections: Network effects on editorial decisions in four computer science journals

Abstract This paper aims to examine the influence of authors’ reputation on editorial bias in scholarly journals. By looking at eight years of editorial decisions in four computer science journals, including 7179 observations on 2913 submissions, we reconstructed author/referee-submission networks. For each submission, we looked at reviewer scores and estimated the reputation of submission authors by means of their network degree. By training a Bayesian network, we estimated the potential effect of scientist reputation on editorial decisions.
