This paper is an illustration of the application of a hermeneutic phenomenological study. The theory of meaning and interpretation, drawing on philosophical hermeneutics and the work of Gadamer and Heidegger, and its alignment with phenomenological thought is presented. This article outlines a procedure that was used to develop a written test for evaluating the conceptual knowledge of chemical equilibrium constant among university students. The concepts in the subject matter were carefully defined through propositional statements. Students' understanding of the topic was determined through interviews. These data were used to produce nine multiple choice questions. Each question was designed to identify misconceptions related to the chemical equilibrium constant. A scuola, per insegnare a comprendere un testo, di solito, si propongono agli alunni una serie di compiti da svolgere prevalentemente dopo la lettura, utilizzando un apparato didattico di cui i libri scolastici sono dotati. La definizione di quali abilità di lettura promuovono i testi di scuola primaria costituisce il tema della ricerca. Niniejszy tekst podejmuje temat niewykorzystanego potencjału nowych technologii informacyjnych w edukacji. Opisane zostały w nim wybrane stanowiska teoretyczne dotyczące społecznego i kulturowego wymiaru rozwoju technologicznego. Ponadto, opisano zaczerpnięte z praktyki edukacyjnej przykłady, ukazujące, jak traktowanie nowych technologii wyłącznie w wymiarze instrumentalnym przyczynia się do formułowania celów edukacji, które nie przystają do wyzwań stawianych współczesnemu człowiekowi przez rzeczywistość społeczną, w której żyje.
