ResumenEl objetivo del trabajo es comprobar, para los mercados de valores españoles, si el comportamiento de los precios incorporando la información revelada por el anuncio de beneficios trimestrales, es más eficiente en aquellas empresas en las cuales se negocian opciones sobre sus acciones. Utilizando la tradicional metodología del suceso y la comparación de funciones de distribución, obtenemos que para las empresas con opciones, la información se incorpora antes. Además, verificamos que hay un comportamiento anormal en el mercado de opciones que viene explicado por la información que contiene el beneficio. Temporary employment and technical efficiency in Spain

Analyses how the high proportion of temporary employment affects the firm's technical efficiency. Uses the stochastic frontier approach to measure the technical efficiency of the Spanish manufacturing firms during the period 1990‐2001. A negative relation between technical efficiency and the proportion of temporary jobs has been obtained. Also, shows that permanent employment makes an important contribution to output while temporary does not.
Wage Cyclicality under Different Regimes of Industrial Relations

Since there is scant evidence on the role of industrial relations in wage cyclicality, this paper analyzes the effect of collective wage contracts and of works councils on real wage growth. Using linked employer-employee data for western Germany, we find that works councils affect wage growth only in combination with collective bargaining. Wage adjustments to positive and negative economic shocks are not always symmetric. Only under sectoral bargaining there is a (nearly symmetric) reaction to rising and falling unemployment. In contrast, wage growth in establishments without collective bargaining adjusts only to falling unemployment and is unaffected by rising unemployment.

Over the last 15 years, the evolution of labor costs has been very diverse across EMU countries. Since wages have important second-round effects on prices and competitiveness, and EMU countries do not have the tool of the nominal exchange rate to correct for such imbalances, understanding the determinants of the wage is a matter of increasing concern and debate. We estimate the equilibrium wage equation for the Euro Area over the period 1995-2011 using panel cointegration techniques that allow for cross-section dependence and structural breaks. A low plating efficiency for measles virus was obtained when arginine, threonine and isoleucine were omitted from Eagle's basal medium and a stimulatory effect on the plaque production was produced by increasing the concentration up to 0.5 mm of arginine and glutamine. However, of all amino acids in Eagle's basal medium, only methionine was found to be essential for the synthesis of infectious progeny virus.
