Świat jak z kreskówki - kuriozum animowanych postaci

Artykuł poświęcony jest charakterystyce kuriozalnych postaci z kreskówek emitowanych przede wszystkim przez stację Cartoon Network, a także Disney XD oraz telewizję Polsat. Analiza bohaterów tychże animacji miała wykrystalizować czynniki, które wpływają na pojawienie się pierwiastka niezwykłości, dziwaczności w kreskówkach. Tekst został podzielony na trzy części. Każda z nich poświęcona jest jednemu z warunków, który wpływa na postrzeganie bohaterów animacji przez pryzmat kuriozalności.

Darba tēma ir ar krāsām saistītu frazeoloģisko vienību (FV) tulkošana no spāņu uz latviešu valodu. Darba mērķis ir apkopot galveno teoriju par frazeoloģiju un tās tulkošanu, pielietot to glosārija veidošanā ar krāsām saistītu FV tulkojumiem no spāņu latviešu valodā, analizēt tulkošanas rezultātus, kā arī apskatīt tos no semantiskā aspekta. Galvenie secinājumi ir tādi, ka biežākie gadījumi konkrēto FV tulkojumos ir daļējas ekvivalences, kuri izraisa vislielākās grūtības, parādot problemātisko tulkošanas procesu. Zastosowanie metodyki audytu krajobrazowego do identyfikacji krajobrazów w skali lokalnej na przykładzie gminy Szczyrk

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki identyfikacji i oceny krajobrazów gminy Szczyrk. W badaniach zastosowano metodę audytu krajobrazowego i trzy kryteria delimitacji: ukształtowanie terenu, kompozycję przestrzenną oraz pokrycie terenu. Badania prowadzono na obszarze górskim, gdzie dotychczas metoda nie była testowana. Stwierdzono występowanie 58 jednostek krajobrazowych należących do 13 typów. Powierzchniowo dominują krajobrazy leśne. Układ jednostek nawiązuje do pięter klimatyczno-roślinnych. Wraz ze zwiększaniem skali badań maleją powierzchnie jednostek, nie maleje znacząco ich liczba. Hydro-mechanical analysis of volcanic ash slopes during rainfall

Rainfall-induced landslides in volcanic ashes represent a major natural hazard in many regions around the world. Owing to their loose structure, volcanic ash slopes are prone to rainfall-induced landslides. The paper presents a continuum modelling approach for the analysis of wetting-induced instability phenomena at the onset of failure in loose volcanic ash slopes. A numerical simulation of a landslide-prone volcanic slope in Costa Rica is carried out with a two-dimensional hydro-mechanical finite-element slope model. Direct detection of 17O NMR in [Gd(DOTA)]- by NMR Spectroscopy

The 17O NMR spectrum of the non-coordinated carboxyl oxygen in the GdIII-DOTA (DOTA = tetraazacyclododecanetetraacetic acid) complex has been observed experimentally. Its line width is essentially unaffected by paramagnetic relaxation due to gadolinium, and is only affected by the quadrupole pathway. The results are supported by the relevant parameters (hyperfine and quadrupole coupling constants) calculated by relativistic DFT methods. This finding opens up new avenues for investigating the structure and reactivity of paramagnetic GdIII complexes used as contrast agents in magnetic resonance imaging.

Modeling and improvement of the tricycle braking system for controlled skidding

In the current paper was approached the braking system of tricycles for controlled skidding, which are used by lovers of extreme sports. The complete modeling of such a tricycle has been performed and its braking system has been improved for a great performance and a better controlled braking. Also, simulation tests were performed using the finite element to achieve the best constructive variant of the brake disc.

Phase-Sensitive Detection for Optical Sensing With Porous Silicon

We report on a photonic sensor with an ultralow limit of detection (LoD) based on a phase interrogation readout scheme together with an anisotropic porous silicon (PSi) membrane. First, the fabrication of porous free-standing membranes from medium doped (100) surface oriented silicon, with pore diameters suitable for the infiltration of biomolecules, around 50 nm, is reported. Then, the phase interrogation scheme for characterizing the PSi membranes is presented whose results show that while volumetric sensitivity increases with the membrane thickness, the resolution in the birefringence measurements decrease dramatically due to depolarization effects.
