During the late Qing dynasty, a profound social and cultural transformation was promoted in China by an élite group of intellectuals, inspired by the works of for- eign thinkers and scholars. In this context, the contribution of the Protestant Gil- bert Reid (1857-1927) – and his Mission among the Higher Classes in China, which later become the International Institute of Shanghai – went far beyond mere proselytism, promoting the intercultural dialogue as a basis for China’s progress. The effects of testosterone propionate, an anabolic-androgenic steroid, on the behavior displayed during a social encounter by gonadally intact male mice were investigated. Animals were distributed into three groups according to their attack latency in a pre-screening test (high-, moderate-, and low-attacking mice) and each group received weekly injections of 60 or 120 mg/kg of testosterone or sesame oil for 10 weeks. Behavioral tests were then carried out. Afterwards, organs were weighed and blood samples collected in order to obtain hormonal data. Based on the example of two quality processes deployed at the SNCF in the field of the service encounter, the aim of this article is to explore, from a clinical point of view, organizational mechanisms which encourage the denial of work. The norms of services previously defined contributed to the front office agents' denial of work, essentially because the respect of these norms became an ultimate finality. The papers of this volume focus on the sacred landscapes of ancient Sicily. Religious and cultural dimensions of Greek sanctuaries are assessed in light of the results of recent exacavations and new readings of literary sources. The material dimension of cult practices in ancient sanctuaries is the central issue of all contributions, with a focus on the findings from ancient Akragas. Great attention is also paid to past ritual activities, which are framed in three complementary areas of enquiry. Tutkin suomalaisten mielisairaalamuistoja Muistoihin kaivertuneet tilat ‐hankkeessa. Muistelukeruuseen lähetetyt potilaiden muistot ovat suurelta osin häpeän ja traumantäyteisiä, vaikka positiivisiakin kokemuksia mahtuu joukkoon. Luovien terapioiden kannalta ilahduttavaa on se, että niiden osalta kenelläkään muistojaan lähettäneellä potilaalla ei ollut pahaa sanottavaa. Luovia terapioita olen käyttänyt myös muisteluaineiston hyödyntämisessä.
