Sélection à l'entrée des universités et emploi : une comparaison entre le Royaume-Uni et la France

International audience; The aim of this article is to see if in France and the United Kingdom, graduates from the more selective departments have better employment prospects than those from other departments, even when individual characteristics of the graduates are controlled for. Logit models were tested usiing two employment indicators (the probability of being unemployed and the probability of occupying a high-grade occupation), for each of the three subject groups (Social sciences, Languages and Science). The model show that the selectivity of British university departments has greater effect on graduate employment prospects than that of French university departments.

We present in this thesis two research projectson the optimal control of the space vehicles.In the first, we have dealt with the orbit transferproblem. We study the minimum time control of a satellite that we want to reach a geostationary orbit. Our contribution is of two kinds. Geometric, first, since we study the controllability of the system together with the geometry of the transfer (structure of the command) by means of geometric control without state constraint tools (minimum principle).
