Las enfermedades exantemáticas: el sarampión y la escarlatina en las revistas pediátricas españolas (1900-1950)

La revolución microbiológica de finales del siglo XIX supuso un cambio profundo en el abordaje tanto de la patología, la clínica y la terapéutica de las enfermedades infecciosas, como en la medicina preventiva y la epidemiología. Este nuevo enfoque restó protagonismo al pensamiento hipocrático sobre los aires, las aguas y los lugares, que aún influía en el estudio de las enfermedades. Desde esta perspectiva este trabajo se propone mostrar dos enfermedades exantemáticas, sarampión y escarlatina, caracterizadas por una gran morbi-mortalidad, y de las que hasta la fecha no se ha realizado un examen profundo en historia de la medicina española. Latest fisheries directives propose adopting an ecosystem approach to manage fisheries \citep{FAO-EAFM}. Such an approach aims to protect important ecosystems based on the principle that healthy ecosystems produce more and thus enhance sustainability. Unfortunately, quantifying the importance of an ecosystem is a difficult task to do due the immense number of interactions involved in marine systems. El problema de la descarga del agua subterránea al medio superficial: estudio de esquemas de conocimiento en universitarios

En este trabajo se muestran los resultados de un estudio sobre los esquemas de conocimiento de estudiantes universitarios en relación a la importancia que prestan al agua subterránea para explicar el caudal de un río tras un tiempo sin precipitaciones, así como su integración en sus representaciones gráficas sobre el ciclo del agua. Los resultados indican una importante incultura hidrogeológica de los universitarios, reclamándose la toma de conciencia y formación del profesorado en general en este campo, así como la realización de campañas divulgativas para paliar los problemas que afectan a una adecuada gestión de los recursos hídricos subterráneos.

A peculiarity of the German language is the extensive use of “pragmatic particles” in spoken language. These particles are generally called Abtönungspartikel (“modulating particles”) and are used to modulate the speaker’s attitude. They have an elusive meaning which is quite difficult for non-native speakers to discern, and they are a challenge to translate into Italian due to the lack of equivalents. The risk of ischemic events gradually decreases after acute coronary syndrome (ACS), reaching a stable level after 1 month, while the risk of bleeding remains steady during the whole period of dual antiplatelet treatment (DAPT). Several de-escalation strategies of antiplatelet treatment aiming to enhance safety of DAPT without depriving it of its efficacy have been evaluated so far. We hypothesized that reduction of the ticagrelor maintenance dose 1 month after ACS and its continuation until 12 months after ACS may improve adherence to antiplatelet treatment due to better tolerability compared with the standard dose of ticagrelor.
