Il volume racoglie contrbuti, per lo più proposti al convegno di Bamberga, 21-23 novembre 2013, che analizzano le modalità e i contenuti della recezione del Decameron nei paesi di lingua tedesca. Partendo dalle questioni di recezione più tradizionali, i contributi, che spaziano dal tardo Medioevo all'oggi, si propongono di analizzare più a fondo il contesto culturale e i processi comunicativi di ciascua fase, e se, e in che modo, la recezione di Boccaccio abbia influito anche sulla costituzione di un'immagine dell'Italia nei paesi d'Oltralpe.

Giuseppe Gabetti fu affascinato dai drammi wagneriani sin dai primi anni della sua carriera accademica, come dimostra la sua prolusione del 1919 all’ Università di Roma, pubblicata l’anno successivo sulla rivista “Nuova Antologia di lettere, scienze e arti”. Il suo interesse, che proseguì negli anni Trenta, lo spinse a partecipare nell’estate del 1933 al festival wagneriano a Bayreuth e in seguito a ospitare su “Studi Germanici” fra il 1937 e il 1938 degli studi su Wagner. Il contributo propone una riflessione sulla valenza politica della ricezione wagneriana in Italia fra le due guerre, ripercorrendo la presenza di Wagner nella carriera di Gabetti.

This article examines the particular relationship that the German-Japanese writer Yoko Tawada and the German-Iranian writer SAID have with their second homeland, Germany. I also analyze how writers tell the experience of migration through the fantastic story of polar bears. SAID writes in the fairytale Schneebären lügen nie, 2013, of a fantastic encounter between a little girl and a lost polar bear and Tawada tells in the novel Etüden im Schnee, 2014, of three generations of polar bears and their experiences in different countries.

Es war einmal eine Blume (C’era una volta un fiore), pubblicata nel 1998, è la prima favola di SAID e dà il via ad una serie di libri per bambini che l’autore scrive riscuotendo grande successo. Questo testo ricopre un ruolo emblematico all’interno della produzione letteraria saidiana; alla fine del XX secolo, infatti, la scelta di SAID, autore fino a lì di opere documentarie e di denuncia, appare quanto meno insolita. Tuttavia, proprio la biografia dello scrittore suggerisce elementi che sembrano motivare il ricorso al 'genere' favola, che aiuta ad attenuare i toni aspri della denuncia e a trattare la realtà dell’esilio da una prospettiva immaginaria, che offre sollievo ai sentimenti esace…

In this paper the author intends to analyze the concept of ‘waiting time’ that, in a different way, also seen the substantial artistic diversity, is present in the film Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi, 2007, based on the namesake graphic novel written by the French-Iranian director in 2000, and in the novel Landschaften einer fernen Mutter written by the German-Iranian author SAID, 2001. The analysis that is conducted here wants to investigate how both, in the film and in the literary work, the ‘waiting time’ for the exile takes on totally personal connotations, becoming also not only part of the life of Satrapi and SAID, but above all a state of mind.
