Elisabeth is widely known as a critic of René Descartes' account of mind--body interaction and scholarly interpretations of her view on the will most often pose the question about the freedom of the will in relation to bodily impulses such as the passions. This chapter takes a different perspective and focuses on the problem of the compatibility of free will and providence, as it is discussed in a sequence of six letters that Elisabeth and Descartes wrote between September 1645 and January 1646. El trabajo presenta unas tablas que recientemente han aparecido en el mercado artístico. Cuatro de ellas las atribuimos al anónimo Maestro de Portillo. Una quinta tabla, subastada en Italia, la adscribimos al Maestro de Calzada, que trabajó, sobre todo, en el ámbito vallisoletano. Estas personalidades artísticas continúan en el anonimato, seguramente por la escasa documentación conservada en el territorio donde ejercieron su profesión. This work focuses on the study of the meanings conveyed by two visual perception verbs (mirar and veure) in Central Catalan within the theoretical framework of cognitive semantics. Our objective is twofold: (i) to analyze and describe them in order to establish metaphorical and metonymic semantic projections; and (ii) to determine the intralinguistic distribution of the non-prototypical meanings of these verbs. Inhibition of Arginase 1 Liberates Potent T Cell Immunostimulatory Activity of Human Neutrophil Granulocytes

Myeloid cell arginase-mediated arginine depletion with consecutive inhibition of T cell functions is a key component of tumor immune escape. Both, granulocytic myeloid-derived suppressor cells (G-MDSC) and conventional mature human polymorphonuclear neutrophil granulocytes (PMN) express high levels of arginase 1 and can act as suppressor cells of adaptive anti-cancer immunity. Here we demonstrate that pharmacological inhibition of PMN-derived arginase 1 not only prevents the suppression of T cell functions but rather leads to a strong hyperactivation of T cells. Immunodominant T cell epitopes preferentially targeted in multiple individuals are the critical element of successful vaccines and targeted immunotherapies. However, the underlying principles of this "convergence" of adaptive immunity among different individuals remain poorly understood. The pictorial scale of Physical Self-Concept in Children (P-PSC-C) is a relatively new instrument for investigating physical self-concept in childhood. The current study aims to examine the validity and reliability of the Spanish version of the P-PSC-C, and also to analyse the validity according to the children’s age.
