Acceptance and validity of the methods used to implement a competency based medical education programme in an Intensive Care Department of a teaching…
2021
Abstract Objectives 1. To determine the satisfaction of tutors and residents with a specific methodology used to implement CoBaTrICE. 2. To determine the reliability and validity of the global rating scales designed ad hoc to assess the performance of the residents for training purposes. Design Prospective cohort study. Participants All the residents and tutors of the ICU Department of the Hospital Universitario y Politecnico la Fe de Valencia. Intervention CoBaTrICE implementation started in March 2016, it was based on: (1) Training the tutors in feedback techniques; (2) Performing multiple objective and structured work based assessments to achieve the competences of the program; and (3) T…

2020
[EN] Cardiovascular diseases currently have a major social and economic impact, constituting one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity. Personalized computational models of the heart are demonstrating their usefulness both to help understand the mechanisms underlying cardiac disease, and to optimize their treatment and predict the patient's response. Within this framework, the Spanish Research Network for Cardiac Computational Modelling (VHeart-SN) has been launched. The general objective of the VHeart-SN network is the development of an integrated, modular and multiscale multiphysical computational model of the heart. This general objective is addressed through the following spe…
ASSESSING NEIGHBORHOOD DISORDER: VALIDATION OF A THREE-FACTOR OBSERVATIONAL SCALE
2015
AbstractThis study presents data on the development and preliminary validation of an observational scale assessing neighborhood disorder. Independent observations by trained raters of neighborhood disorder were conducted in 552 census block groups in the city of Valencia (Spain). Intraclass correlation coefficients assessing inter-rater reliability indicated fair to substantial levels of agreement among raters. Confirmatory factor analyses supported a final three-factor model scale measuring physical disorder, social disorder, and physical decay. Results for the internal consistency showed large composite reliability indices indicating good reliability for all neighborhood disorder factors.…

The safety and efficacy of dasatinib plus nivolumab in patients with previously treated chronic myeloid leukemia: results from a phase 1b dose-escala…
2021
Although treatment with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) has dramatically improved outcomes for the majority of patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), approximately 20–30% will require a ch...
A phase I dose escalation and expansion study of the next generation oral SERD AZD9833 in women with ER-positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer
2020
1024 Background: AZD9833 is an oral selective estrogen receptor (ER) antagonist and degrader (SERD) that has shown antitumor efficacy in a range of preclinical models of breast cancer. Methods: SERENA-1 (NCT03616587) is an ongoing Phase 1, open-label study in pre- and post-menopausal women, after ≥1 endocrine therapy and ≤2 prior chemotherapies for ER+ HER2- advanced breast cancer (ABC). The primary objective is to determine the safety and tolerability of AZD9833 once daily (QD), with dose-limiting toxicities (DLTs) in 28d defining the maximum tolerated dose. Secondary objectives include pharmacokinetics and anti-tumor response. Pharmacodynamic (PD) analysis includes ER modulation in paire…
Second-line treatment in exon 11-mutated GIST patients: Imatinib dose escalation or sunitinib? Retrospective analysis of a multi-institutional experi…
2014
10515 Background: Data from metastatic GIST patients harbouring exon 11 mutation who received a second line treatment with sunitinib or imatinib dose escalation were retrospectively analysed to compare survival. Methods: 123 exon 11 mutated advanced GIST patients were included. All patients progressed on imatinib 400 mg/die and received, on discretion of physician, a second line treatment with either imatinib (800 mg/die) or sunitinib (50 mg/die 4 weeks on/2 weeks of or 37.5 mg/day continuous daily dose). The type of exon 11 mutation was recorded (deletion versus others) and correlated with survival and response according to RECIST or CHOI criteria Results: 79 patients (64%) received a seco…
