Este trabajo transforma la base de datos mundial del Climate Research Unit de la Universidad de East Anglia (http://www.cru.uea.ac.uk/), conocida como CRU TS 2.1, en datos regionales para España, tanto a nivel provincial como de comunidad autónoma. Dicha base de datos, cuyo formato original es de tipo grid, no se ajusta a las necesidades de los historiadores e investigadores sociales y ello por dos motivos. Análisis de la representatividad de la MCVL: el caso de las prestaciones del sistema público de pensiones

El objetivo de este trabajo es contribuir a aumentar el conocimiento de la Muestra Continua de Vidas Laborales (MCVL) en cuanto a la informacion sobre prestaciones y advertir de posibles errores que se podrian cometer a la hora de realizar cierto tipo de estudios sobre el sistema publico de pensiones. Se analiza el conjunto de datos de prestaciones de la MCVL de 2010 teniendo en cuenta los datos agrupados por tipo de pension, grupos de edad y genero, asi como por cuantia. Consumo de substancias durante el embarazo y dimensiones de personalidad

Este estudio evalúa los patrones de consumo de substancias durante el embarazo y las dimensiones de personalidad asociadas, en una muestra multicéntrica de 1804 mujeres de población general. En el 2-3 día posparto, completaron una entrevista auto-administrada sobre el consumo de alcohol, tabaco, cafeína, cannabis, cocaína, opiáceos, drogas de diseño, además de variables socio-demográficas, obstétricas/reproductivas, historia psiquiátrica previa, apoyo social durante el embarazo y el cuestionario de personalidad de Eysenck (EPQ-RS). Se generaron modelos de regresión logística múltiple. La prevalencia del consumo fue del 50% (N=909): 40% cafeína, 21% tabaco, 3,5% alcohol, y 0,3 cannabis. Las …
Feasibility issues in static output-feedback controller design with application to structural vibration control

Recent results in output-feedback controller design make possible an efficient computation of static output-feedback controllers by solving a single-step LMI optimization problem. This new design strategy is based on a simple transformation of variables, and it has been applied in the field of vibration control of large structures with positive results. There are, however, some feasibility problems that can compromise the effectiveness and applicability of the new approach. Modelling spatially sampled proportion processes

Many ecological processes are measured as proportions and are spatially sampled. In all these cases the standard procedure has long been the transformation of proportional data with the arcsine square root or logit transformation, without considering the spatial correlation in any way. This paper presents a robust regression model to analyse this kind of data using a beta regression and including a spatially correlated term within the Bayesian framework. As a practical example, we apply the proposed approach to a spatio-temporally sampled fishery discard dataset.

Effect of uncertain damping coefficient on the response of a SDOF system

In this paper, a full probabilistic description of the response of a randomized SDOF system in both the time and the frequency domain is done. Considering that the damping of the structure does not simply relate to any single physical phenomenon, the sensitivity of the response to the randomness of the damping parameter is investigated. The stochastic analysis is conducted via the Probability Transformation Method therefore the first probability density function of the response is evaluated.
