Search for a Dark Leptophilic Scalar in e(+) e(-) Collisions

Many scenarios of physics beyond the standard model predict the existence of new gauge singlets, which might be substantially lighter than the weak scale. The experimental constraints on additional scalars with masses in the MeV to GeV range could be significantly weakened if they interact predominantly with leptons rather than quarks. At an e+e- collider, such a leptophilic scalar (φL) would be produced predominantly through radiation from a τ lepton. We report herein a search for e+e-→τ+τ-φL, φL→ℓ+ℓ- (ℓ=e, μ) using data collected by the BABAR experiment at SLAC. [cat] L'article analitza breument l'ampla varietat de conceptes de populisme en la política actual. Aquesta anàlisi intenta mostrar com el populisme ha donat suport als particularismes lingüístics a València i a Mallorca. Aquests particularismes (anomenats blaverisme a València, i gonellisme a Mallorca) no reconeixen la unitat de la comunitat lingüística catalana, i per tant amenacen la recuperació social (normalització) de la llengua catalana.

First of all, a definition of multitranslation is given and a selective classification of the main multitranslated products in Catalan is offered. After that, multitranslation is contextualised within the sociology of translation. Then the polysystem of Catalan translation is analysed together with the linguistic, the politicoeconomical and the communicative‐cultural cosystems which influence multitranslation. The nature of linguistic variation is governed by the character and the scope of the networks of interaction, and the frequencies and intensity of communications inside those networks. Standardization, in a complete sense, represents a substantial modification of the conditions of interaction: basically, it expands, structures and consolidates the communicative network. The purpose of this paper is to show how the Catalan spoken in the south Valencian region is reacting to the effects of the linguistic normalization process that was initiated more than ten years ago. Basically, this process concentrated on two areas: on the one hand, education, where Catalan is present either as a compulsory subject, or as the language in which the whole teaching takes place; on the other hand, the spreading of several mass media which more or less use the language. El punto de partida con el que iniciamos este artículo relaciona la enseñanza de elementos gramaticales, como los conectores, con la producción textual de escolares de segundo curso de Educación Primaria. En la investigación, que se lleva a cabo en aula, se elige como dispositivo una secuencia didáctica inspirada en el modelo de la escuela de Ginebra. La mediación elegida demuestra que resulta posible y eficaz introducir estos saberes gramaticales desde el inicio de la escolarización y que estos elementos ayudan, junto con el resto de la intervención, a mejorar los textos de los niños.
