Rauhan sairaalan evakuoiminen ja sen vaikutukset sijoitussairaaloihin toisen maailmansodan aikana

Tässä tutkielmassa tarkastelun kohteena on Rauhan mielisairaalan evakuoiminen ja sen vaikutukset sijoitussairaaloihin toisen maailmansodan aikana. Rauhan mielisairaala sijaitsi Joutsenossa, Kaakkois-Suomessa. Vaikka Joutseno ei ollut varsinaisella sotatoimialueella eikä alue joutunut alueluovutusten kohteeksi, sairaala evakuoitiin kuitenkin kolme kertaa. Tavoitteena on tutkia evakuointeihin vaikuttaneita syitä, evakuointien käytännön toteutusta sekä piirimielisairaaloiden toimintaa sota-aikana, koska Rauhan sairaala oli piirimielisairaala ja potilaiden sijoitussairaalat olivat myös hoidollisesti samantasoisia sairaaloita. Traces of the past: an interview study with Finnish war children who did not return to Finland after the Second World War

ABSTRACTThis paper is an in-depth qualitative study based on interviews with 10 Finnish children who were evacuated to Sweden during Second World War and who did not return to Finland after the war. The interviewees were asked to tell about their lives. Nine of them were between 2 and 5 years and one was 7 years old at the time of evacuation. The aim was to study how their childhood experiences were reflected in adult memories, how they remembered or did not remember. The text examines the relocation of ceded Vyborg’s administrative, social and cultural institutions in the rest of Finland. The heritage of the city was fragmented over a large area because the remaining part of Karelia did not have a city large enough to accommodate the Vyborgian facilities. Museologian Pro gradussa tutkittiin kulttuuriperintökokoelmien pelastussuunnitelmien toimivuutta kohteisiin sijoitetun irtaimen kulttuuriperinnön suojelu-, evakuointi- ja jälkihoitoprosessien näkökulmasta katsottuna. A life time in exile : Finnish war children in Sweden after the war : an interview study with a psychological and psychodynamic approach

This study is based upon in-depth interviews with ten Finnish war children who were evacuated to Sweden during the Second World War (1939 -1944) and who did not return permanently to Finland after the war. This interpretative and qualitative interview study of war children seems to be the only one of its kind. The interviews were carried out in 2007 in Stockholm. At the time of the evacuation nine of the children were between two and five years of age and one was seven years old. At the time of the interviews they were approaching their seventieth birthday.
