Children’s beliefs concerning school transition

This study examines preschoolers’ beliefs concerning their transfer into primary education. Data from 1386 Finnish preschoolers were obtained using interviews with parents at the end of the children’s preschool year. The qualitative content analysis revealed categories, which encompassed peer relationships, relationship with teacher, learning, formal schoolwork, informal activities, comfortable school entry and no concerns. The results indicated that children’s beliefs concerning their prospective school entry centred on maintaining and making friendships, and that children possessed both negative and positive expectations about their relationship with their future teacher. Evaluating currency crises: the case of the European monetary system

In this paper we examine the nature of currency crises. We ascertain whether the currency crises of the European Monetary System (EMS) were based either on fundamentals, or on self-fulfilling market expectations driven by extrinsic uncertainty. In particular, we extend previous work of Jeanne and Masson (J Int Econ 50:327–350, 2000) regarding the evaluation of currency crisis. We contribute to the existing literature proposing the use of Markov regime-switching with time-varying transition probability model. Izveidotu tiesisko attiecību ietekmēšana ir izvērtējama, balstoties uz tiesiskās paļāvības principu. Lai noskaidrotu, vai tiesiskās paļāvības princips ir aizskarts, ir jākonstatē, vai tiesību normām ir atpakaļejošs spēks laikā. Maģistra darbs „Mutiskā tulkošana evaņģēliskajās draudzēs ar dievkalpojumiem krievu valodā” izstrādāts 2017. gada pavasarī. Mutiskās tulkošanas nozares pētniekus arvien vairāk interesē dažādu tulkošanas situāciju pētniecība. Taču mutiskā tulkošana draudzēs, neskatoties uz tās vēsturisko nozīmi tulkošanas jomā, arvien palikusi novārtā. Šī darba autore, draudzes tulks ar 25 gadu stāžu, vēlās pievērst uzmanību šai savas kompetences jomai, mutiskajai tulkošanai evaņģēliskajās draudzēs ar dievkalpojumiem krievu valodā, un izveidot „ideālā” draudzes tulka portretu, balstoties uz klientu vēlmēm. Acceptability of partially dealcoholized wines - Measuring the impact of sensory and information cues on overall liking in real-life settings

International audience; In this study, the effect of partial alcohol reduction in wine on consumer expectation and overall liking was investigated in real-life settings (by a Home-Use-Test). By varying the wine in the bottle and by manipulating the information on the label, it was possible to assess the relative impact of sensory properties and information cues on overall liking. Standard Chardonnay and Syrah wines were partially dealcoholized from about 13.5% to about 9.5%.
