Recently, the concept of a vessel-shaped fish farm was proposed for open sea applications. The fish farm comprises a vessel-shaped floater, five fish cages, and a single-point mooring system. Such a system weathervanes, and this feature increases the spread area of fish waste. Still, the downstream cages may experience decreased exchange of water flow when the vessel heading is aligned with the current direction, and fish welfare may be jeopardized. Background and Aims: Farnesoid X receptor (FXR) plays a key role in bile acid and lipid homeostasis. Experimental evidence suggests that it can modulate liver damage related to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). We examined the impact of the NR1H4 rs35724 variant, encoding for FXR, on liver damage in a large cohort of patients at risk of steatohepatitis. Asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA), an endogenous eNOS inhibitor, is a risk factor for endothelial dysfunction. We addressed the relationship between ADMA plasma levels and AF occurrence in AMI. Methods 273 patients hospitalized for AMI were included. Abstract The article is an attempt to look at the issue of functioning of social services in Poland from an interdisciplinary perspective, presenting common areas of activity of professionals with socio-pedagogical affiliation with representatives of psychological, psychotherapeutic and medical environments. The considerations relate not only to the literature of the subject, but also to the research of the authors in this regard. The purpose of the presented reflection is also to indicate the areas of interdisciplinary scientific cooperation, including research. Its effect could be generating new research problems and solving them in the course of the work of interdisciplinary teams.

Health-related messages about physical activity promotion: an analysis of photographs on social networking sites of universities

ABSTRACTThe main aim of this study was to examine how different physical activity domains are represented on the official social media sites of Spanish universities, through a content analysis of the photographs. Our results show that the representation of different physical activity domains is not balanced. While the analysed images do promote a message of gender equality in sedentary and leisure time physical activity behaviour, pictures illustrating active commuting and disabled groups were under-represented.
