Detection and Discrimination of Inter-Turn Short Circuit and Demagnetization Faults in PMSMs Based on Structural Analysis

This paper presents a fault diagnosis method based on structural analysis of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs), focusing on detecting and discriminating two of the most common faults in PMSMs, namely demagnetization and inter-turn short circuit faults. The structural analysis technique uses the dynamic mathematical model of the PMSM in matrix form to evaluate the system’s structural model. After obtaining the analytical redundancy using the over-determined part of the system, it is divided into redundant testable sub-models. Optical characterization of Mg-doped GaN films grown by metalorganic chemical vapor phase deposition

Scanning electron microscopy, micro-Raman, and photoluminescence (PL) measurements are reported for Mg-doped GaN films grown on (0001) sapphire substrates by low-pressure metalorganic chemical vapor phase deposition. The surface morphology, structural, and optical properties of GaN samples with Mg concentrations ranging from 1019 to 1021 cm−3 have been studied. In the scanning micrographs large triangular pyramids are observed, probably due to stacking fault formation and three-dimensional growth. Detecting Eccentricity and Demagnetization Fault of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generators in Transient State

Eccentricity and demagnetization fault of a four-pole 1.5 kW surface mounted permanent-magnet synchronous-generator (PMSG) were modelled by using time-discretised finite element analysis (FEA). Both fault types are caused by magnetic asymmetry in the generator. The faulty behaviour of a PMSG under transient operating condition is studied with FEA. Two search coils were wound around stator teeth on opposite sides of the rotor. The induced voltage from these coils will be equal in healthy case. A fault is detected when the induced voltages are non-identical. En la Cordillera de la Costa de Chile, de 36° a 35°S, se encuentra expuesta la arquitectura coherentemente preservada de un prisma de acrecion del Paleozoico tardio, en cercana vecindad a un area entre los 34° y 35°S, donde el mismo esta fuertemente modificado por procesos postacrecionales. We analyse the idiosyncratic and systematic elements influencing Italian firms’ probability of default (PD) and examine the relationship between credit risk and borrowing conditions at a regional level. This paper, using regression analysis, examines the causal relationship between PD of a representative sample of Italian firms, together with accounting variables at firm level and macroeconomic data. The underlying hypothesis examines if the riskiness of Italian firms is influenced exclusively by their specific characteristics or, more generally, depends also on the spatial environment where they operate. Econometric model to estimate the Probability of Default and Loss Given Default in the EBA stress test in 2016

In this research, an econometric with panel data using Ordinary least squares OLS model is constructed following the guidelines recommended by the EBA stress test methodology for 2016. The findings indicate that macroeconomic factors affecting defaults are the expected ones in the Spanish credit institutions. However, loan impairments do not follow the patterns that a priori would be normal. Divergent is outcomes in defaults and impairments: the Non-Performing Loans (NPL) is pro-cyclical and impairment losses are counter-cyclical.
