Career adaptability and its relation to self-regulation, career construction, and academic engagement among Spanish university students

Abstract This study analyzed the psychometric properties of the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) in a Spanish speaking sample and then its relationships with adaptive readiness (i.e., self-regulation), career construction and adapting responses (i.e., vocational coping behaviors), and adaptation results (academic engagement, burnout, and vocational identity). The measures were completed by 577 Spanish university students. Design/methodology: We develop a multigroup confirmatory factor analysis (MGCFA) with Maximum Likelihood Estimation to asses measurement invariance of the Job Diagnostic Survey (JDS) adapted to teaching, with data collected from paper and web surveys. Emotional intelligence and job satisfaction: the role of organizational learning capability

Measuring and reporting confiscated firms' (social) business value

This study highlights the peculiar aspects of the business valuation process involving firms confiscated from the Mafia organisation, by pointing out some criteria to guide the selection of the appropriate valuation method. We identify some preliminary operational proposals for drawing up an effective valuation report taking social and ethical factors into account. Explaining knowledge intensive firms’ performance through internal factors: evidence from an IT consulting firm

Our research contributes to knowledge-intensive firms research streams. We propose an explanation of their performance based on organizational design theory and the resource-based view. Through a case study on an IT consulting firm in France, we examined the impact of a coherent organizational architecture and a cognitive asset on the performance of the firm. The results show a complementarity between a coherent organizational design and a meticulously formed and maintained human resources asset to explain the performance of an IT consulting firm.

The working alliance is a key element to increase intimate partner violence (IPV) offenders' motivation, adherence to treatment, and active participation in batterer intervention programs (BIPs). The objective of the present study is to assess the psychometric properties and factor structure of the Working Alliance Inventory-Observer Short Version (WAI-O-S) with a sample of IPV offenders.
